((*comes back still grumbling about stupid, bloody Drivers Ed*

Just spent over an hour doing all the tedious little lessons and quizzes, and yet I still have so much more to do...I swear, when I'm done with it, I'm gonna burn all my non-essential materials...
But anyway....yeah. Starting now

))
"And you're sure this thing can stay afloat with passengers onboard?" Marie asked doubtfully, narrowly appraising the small vessel that by some far stretch of the imagination might have been considered a boat. "It looks lucky to be floating at all."
"Hey, give us some credit!" Jack protested, hopping down into it from the dock. "We've spent over a month getting the
Sparrow's Flight seaworthy, and that's no easy task using driftwood and stol- I mean...borrowed- parts."
Marie simply raised an eyebrow. "My concerns exactly," she muttered dryly.
"Marie, you have my word she's perfectly safe," William assured her, helping her down into the boat and untying the rope that kept them tethered to the dock. "I double-checked anything that could have even potentially been a problem, and she's as structurally sound as the
Pearl herself... Well, almost."
"Yes, now I feel much safer," she retorted, sitting down on one of the wooden seats as Jack worked to free the single sail.
Finally he got it unforled and jumped down to sit beside her. "Relax, Marie," he said with a grin, amiably putting an arm around her shoulder. "What's the worst thing that could happen?"
--------------------
An hour later, they were bailing water with anything they had available as the small boat was rocked by the growing waves. "You just had to say it, didn't you?" Marie accused Jack as she tossed another bucket-full of water over the side. "'She's perfectly seaworthy, Marie!' 'What's the worst thing that could happen, Marie?' I told you to stay in sight of the shore, but did you listen?"
Jack steadied himself against the small mast as the boat took a particularly hard plunge. "Look, I had no way of knowing there was a storm swell coming," he said, raising his hands in surrender. "William said-"
"Oh no, Jack Turner, you're not blaming this one on me!" his brother interrupted. "I'm always the one who takes the fall for your irresponsibility."
"Guys..." Marie began apprehensively.
"Well, you're the responsible one!" Jack argued, ignoring his sister. "You should know better than to listen to my stupid ideas!"
"Jack...William..."
"
I should know better? You're the one who-"
"BOYS!" Marie shouted, finally getting their attention. Both twins looked up just in time to see a huge wave coming down on them.
"Hang on!" William shouted as the small boat was picked up by the colossal wave...

Marie swam her way to the surface, wiping the water out of her eyes as she gasped for air. Looking around, she realized that they were much closer to shore now, but everything seemed different. The
Sparrow's Flight was nowhere to be seen, and those shores were most definately not Tortuga.
