Carrie woke up at around 3 in the morning, fully dressed and freezing cold because she was still on top of her covers. She groaned and sat up before checking her phone which had died from the lack of battery. She pulled on her PJs and snuggled in to bed before drifiting in to a light, poor sleep.

" Well Reuben said as he looked at his phone. He had gotten up around midnight and went outside to go to ...well nowhere in particular....

Aya jogged back from famous footwear.. she didn't mean to stay THAT long.. she had bought a new pair of chucks.. they were awesome.. but she knew her parents would kill her! they were so tight about bedtime and strict about socials.. sometimes she just felt like being free for once in her life..

When Carrie got up the following morning she went through the motions of getting up, dressed, having breakfast but she didn't remember doing any of it. Her mother called her in to the study at around midday and she and her father told Carrie something that she really didn't want to hear.

Reuben stayed out and glared at the rising sun .
" Why me?" he said as a small tear slid down his soft face.

Carrie ran out of the house, her mother was yelling at her from the door but she made no attempt to follow. Carrie fled, running as fast as she could, she had to get away. She went to the pond in the field where and and Reuben would often spend lazy summer afternoons, and she cried and cried until she had no tears left in her body.

Reuben laied out in the feild as he felt a thunder of thumping on the ground. He jolted upright
" Oh cripty- crip croup! I crossed a cattle gaurd!" He ran to his bike as the bull of the heard ran after him his horns poised after him in a threatining motion.

Carrie heard a rumbling which could only be one thing - charging cattle. The next field had a heard of bulls in and she knew that they were not the friendliest of things. She looked up and head a cry of what could only be discribed as pure irritation, hinted with fear. And the voice also happened to sound a lot like Reuben's. She ran to the gate of the field and looked at Reuben cycling away to the end that Carrie knew to be quite marshy.
"Reuben! Not that way!" She yelled, praying that he'd hear.

"Ghaha!" He yelled as he lept onto his bike and drove right over the cattle gaurd and stopped right behind it so the cattle couldn't get him.
" Haha I won again you stupid little horny creatures!" he said as he stood with his whole body behind cattle gaurd as the whole heard of bulls waited for him to cross back over

Carrie ran to Reuben, tears running down her face. She flung herself at him and hugged him tight.
"I thought they were going to get you." She said into his chest.

" Oh ..uh sorry" Reuben said as he stuck his tounge out at the biggest bull and picked Carrie up in his arms and carried her farther away from the gate.

He kissed her passonitely on the lips.
" I love You" he said as a rush of emotions went through his body.
