I've just been trying out some of Arwen's new tutorials (thanks Arwen) and it seems I needed Virtual Photographer for one of them. So I have downloaded it...and I'm stuck. I didn't have a *Plug-ins* file in PSP7 as the product said I needed so I created a new folder for it. But now I don't know how to open it as it won't let me. The product site is giving me instructions on how to do this for another programme so that's not really helping! :D Any ideas folks?

*raises hand* Me, me, me! :bounce: Well, I'll try at least :p Create a folder in your PSP7 folder named plugins, or something similar. Click on the Free Download self-extracting archive link on the VP page, click Run when the box thing opens, and when the Self-Extracting Archive box opens, tell it to save itself to that folder (probably a path like C >> Program Files >> Jasc >> Paint Shop Pro 7 >> Plugins). It will save itself to that. Then open up PSP and go to File >> Preferences >> File Locations. Click the Plugins tab. Make sure all the boxes are checked (except the last one - don't think that's necessary), and make sure that one of the folders Jasc is looking in for plugins is something like "C:\Program Files\Jasc Software Inc\Paint Shop Pro 7\Plugins" (that's what it is for me). Then close PSP, open it again, open an image, go to Effects >> Plug-in Filters, and it _should_ be under optikVerve Labs :)

Good luck, and sorry it's so complicated!

Glad it worked! :-D I love plugins, especially that one...they let me be lazy and not add effects manually all the time :teehee:

It's amazing the range of effects you can get. I will spend many happy hours playing with it now. I never thought you could get such effects with PSP. :D

I'm going to have to blame you now Arwen. I have so many choices for how to make banners now my inspiration left by the last bus. :P

Hey Nordic:) I have psp x, and I pretty much did the same thing as Arwen said only instead of C >> Program Files >> Jasc >> Paint Shop Pro 7 >> Plugins, I went to C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel Paint Shop Pro X\PlugIns . I hope it works for you :bye2:
