And your reasons are?

Other than being mean to Snape?

Yes, that is a simplified plotline of 3rd film.

No particular reason, it just has to happen. That's how the book has to end. After everything that's happened, it has to. I think that's a pretty godd arguement, don't you? :-D

You can see the Harry Potter Book 7 Discussion thread for my opinion on whether Harry should die or not.

I disagree. JKR won't have the heart to do it. Can you imagine the devastation if he died? Children everywhere would be scarred for life! I am gonna quote those geniuses over at leaky cauldron: He is the boy who LIVED! Why would they kill him?! That would just ruin it all! I wouldn't be able to live with that. I don't care what's happened in the past. It just wouldn't be satisfying to me. He has so much to live for, despite what he's lost.

I have a question guys. This is probably a pretty stupid one, but I just can't stop wondering.
When Harry and Dumbledore were in the cave, trying to get Slytherin's necklace, why did the liquid have to be drunk? Couldn't Dumbledore have just shoveled it out of the basin [or whatever it was] instead?
Does this make sense?

I agree...tehre must be some reason...I just don't remember right now...without remembering tho, that is a logical question. If you can drink it, why can't you touch it? O...maybe it was bewitched. There was the cup thingy there...

no, dumbledore conjured a cup out of thin air, and i think the potion was bewitched so you could only get at it with the intention of drinking it....voldmevort isnt that stupid, or dumbledore for that matter...

You know who angers me tho? LAVENDAR BROWN! *explodes* She's sooo annoying!

Right. Whenever I come up with questions like this, I just remember that Dumbledore isn't a stupid fool, so if there was another way, he would've thought of that.

Argh, I can't stop thinking aboaut what Dumbledore's plead really meant to Snape. I'm almost sure it wasn't anything to do with "please don't kill me!" but something else...
Maybe it was something to do with Harry? I don't know. What do you guys think?

i am pretty sure it wasnt "please dont kill me"....but more like "please kill me...you promised"

cause remember earlier in the book snape and dumbledore are quarrelling and snape is saying "well maby i just dont want to do it now" and dumbledore was really mad and saying "you promised" which....just kinda got me thinking when i re-read the book
