Katherine screamed as the thing flew over their heads and the waves came. Katherine was worried about drowning but still she searched for a spear.

"Mother of God," Gibbs muttered as he stared at the black wall of water in growing despair. The tsunami hung above them like a dreaded bird of prey, before it crashed down. All he heard were the screams of drowning men before he went under.

Luckily for him, Robert was a strong swimmer. He managed to surface after the wave hit. The Black Pearl bobbed back up like a cork. When the deck emptied of water, he was left sprawled on the deck next to Lee.
"Thanks," he managed to gasp out, before catching sight of a pistol someone'd dropped. He seized the weapon. _________________

Jack surfaced from the ocean as the Pearl came back up, he then coughed up water that had found its way to the back of his throat.
"Gibbs!" he hollared, "What in the name of bloody Davey Jones was that!?"
He gripped hold of his gun tighter.

"Can't say!" Gibbs shouted. He sputtered up another mouthful of seawater before continuing, "But best to keep yer wits about ye!"
The Pearl rocked again. The 'fish' was about to go for another leap. Gibbs brought his newly acquired rifle up and glanced nervously at Jack. "Cap'n, orders?"

"RUN!" Jack said just as the 'fish' took another leap out of the water, but this time towards Gibbs with a hungry mouth open that revealed numerous spikes for teeth.

Lee smiled at Rob ert as she coughed up water as more waves hit. "In the name of Davy Jones..." She gasped, gripping her own pistol and dagger and followed Jack, motioning for Robert to follow. _________________

All blood drained out of Gibbs's face as he glimpsed a mouthful of jagged teeth. Why does this always have to happen to me? Why can't the bloody fish eat Jack?
Acting purely upon instinct, his finger tightened on the trigger. The rifle exploded in his hand, lodging into the back of the fish's throat with an explosion of blood. Gibbs leaped for cover just as the stinking dead fish crashed to the deck.

Jack peeked his head out from a stack of crates, apparently, when it came to fighting unnaturally big sea creatures, he most likely didn't do the fighting...
"Guess what's on the menu tonight mates?" He said in a forced cheerful tone still trying to relax his nerves from what just happened.

Bootstrap finally came out of hiding and swaggered his way toward Gibbs. "I knew ye could do it. Well done lad!" he smiled broadly.
He looked to Jack and said, "Sounds tasty captain!"

"Thank you!" he dropped the musket he was holding and came saunting out from behind the pile of crates.
He came close to the 'fish' aboard the deck and he examined the creature with a stifled nose. "I sure 'ope it tastes better than it smells.." he muttered.

Katherine looked at the dead fish and leaned over the side of the boat and vomited. Tears and sea water streaked her face. This thing had tried to kill them, how could she be sorry it was dead? Katherine groaned and sank against the side of the boat, holding her head in her hands.

Bill noticed Katherine's vomiting and sickness. He ran over to her quickly and bent down next to her. "Are you all right lass? Do you need anything? How can I help?" Bill rambled. His eyes searched hers for answers.

Katherine gave a harsh laugh. "I don't know if you can," she answered. "It's just..." she put her head in her hands again. "Animals don't know what they do. Humans do. I can kill a human who has done wrong without flinching but animals...they are programmed. They don't know what they've done wrong. Sorry," she laughed again. "I probably seem foolish."

Jack stared at the 'fish'. He squatted down still with that stifled nose placed on his face. "How do we propose on cookin' this thin'?" He reached forward and poked the wet flubber with a finger.
