Spinx tried to look inconspicuse. And failed. Well you couldn't really being related to dumbeldore and being the only Half-Spinx to be born for the last few centuries, everyone had at least herd of you. She grinned slightly at the avid stares that trnasfreered themselves from her to harry at to speed and back again. She cheered as somone called Lee sat down next to her and wondered weather this was going to take all night.

Appearance: Joelle has short dark brown straight hair and dark brown eyes. She has very pale skin. She is rather slim and small-featured, even at 16. She will end up being about 5'6" in height when she is full-grown.

Personality: There are four words that really describe Joelle’s personality: Intelligent, quiet, cunning, and bold. These words may not sound good together, but they are Joelle, and Joelle is them. 1st, intelligence. Joelle is a brilliant individual. She knows a lot about the world, and learns very quickly. She has a sharp memory and a will to learn everything that she can. She learned to read at the age of three, if that tells you anything. Joelle is an avid learner, ready to learn anything she can. 2nd, quiet. Joelle is very quiet in most aspects of life. But, this is for a different reason than you would expect. At home, she doesn’t feel that her family needs to know what she is truly feeling, because they don’t understand and she shouldn’t try to make them understand. At school, it’s the same with the teachers and students from other houses. Why should they know what she really is thinking? With her friends, Joelle opens her heart. She isn’t afraid to tell them what she truly thinks. 3rd, cunning. To go along with her intelligence, Joelle has a sharp wit that is always active. She is extremely creative, and knows just what to say in any situation, no matter whether what she says is true or not. She is rather devious, always wanting to be on top of everything. History: Joelle was born in England to Tom and Mary Mindalin. She is the younger of their two children, her older brother being three years older. Joelle was never understood at home. Her father was in Gryffindor and her mother is a Muggle. And her brother would end up in Gryffindor, as well. Joelle never felt that she fit in with her family at all. She was much smarter than they. Joelle came to believe that her family was just a stepping stone on her way to greatness. At the age of eleven, Joelle was sent an invitation to attend Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

Joelle looked around the room. She rolled her eyes at the the Gryffindors and Hufflepuffs. She really didn't want to end up in one of their own houses.

"Mindalin, Joelle!" Professor McGonagall called.

Joelle walked up to the Sorting Hat. She sat down and felt the weight of the hat on her head. "A Mindalin, eh?" it whispered.

"Slytherin!" it shouted a moment later. Joelle stood up and smiled. Yes, she thought. Thank god.
