Mort let out a grunting sigh and plopped back onto the couch. He leaned forward and rested his elbows on his knees by clenching his hands into his hair.
He hated this moment, seeing Shannon cry reminded him of times Amy pleaded to him, yelled at him over the phone, then when the time came...cheated on him.

Shannon sat down in a corner in the room and just let herself cry in her hands. She was usually so cheerful, but at this moment, she was so upset. She had always wanted to get closer to Mort, but he never allowed her.

Mort wagged his head back and forth in disbelief. He almost wanted to laugh as a slight smirk of frustration appeared on his lips.
"Unbelievable..." he mumbled before leaning back into the couch and using a hand to comb back his hair.
