Phhh, there's an amazing amount of Elijah+Pam pics on A&F. I tried to not be jealous, though it's hard ;-)

Eariel, I loved the poem you posted for the Poetry contest. It is so touching!
Oh, and something I wanted to ask you: You were at ORC, right? Did you talk to Elijah?

I was told to come here by ForeverFrodo because I love Frodo and when I wanted to join the Frodo fanclub, no one posted there anymore. Now that club is up and running again (thank goodness), but I would also like to be a member here of the unofficial Frodo/Elijah club if that's ok. Let me know please! I'd really love to join!
~T.T
P.S. ForeverFrodo....... looking at some of the previous posts I came across your video. It was really amazing. I cried when I watched it. I'm a fan of Evanescence and for a while My Immortal was my favorite of their songs. And all of their songs are really moving to me. Combine it with my favorite LOTR character, and you have tears all over my keyboard. :) But thank you for sharing that.

^Same here. Favorite Evenescence song, (actually, it was hearing a then-unidentified--by me, at least--clip of it that led me to start being a fan of them :) ), and definately[i] favorite character. Well character[i]s. I like Sam, too. ;)
Welcome to the club, btw! I'll add you to The List. :P
Zandain: Thank you! It's kind of exciting, especially with it being exactly a week before Billy Boyd's bday (Aug. 28). :)
Forever: Thank you! I was happy with that poem. (My other one is on there now, too, if you want to look at it. ;) ) About ORC: Yes, I was there (and it was absolutely amazing, as you can guess! :-o ), but no, I (sadly :'( ) didn't get to talk to Lij. *sigh* It was still a great experience, though. He and Sean came out on stage for about an hour and a half, and talked to the audience and answered questions. It was neat to see them interact, as well as just seeing them with one's own eyes period. I hope all of you can get to do something like that, and i hope i can eventually meet them (as I have still to do that :P )! I grieved over ORC being gone for a long time... But anyway, I hope I answered your question? :P

No, that's plain impossible ;-)

So, finally :welcome: to the informal club, TT! We're glad to have you here!

 It's one of my favourite songs as well.

You did indeed :P. Sounds amazing! Doesn't look like I'll have the possibility to see him, though. :disgust: It's so annoying, there is the "Ring Convention" in Germany in winter this year, and he'll be there! But the city where it takes place is that far away that I can't get there. I tried to convince my parents to drive, but they just don't understand why it is so important for me :'( They do like LotR, but think of the Ringers as crazy people and don't want to actually go to a convention... *sigh*

But anyway, Eariel: Happy Birthday!
And I did read your second poem! It's just beautiful! You're so talented, I'm jealous :P

Wait wait wait wait wait. Who is this "Pam"? Please tell me it is just a stuffed alligator or something that Elijah carries around with him.
And...... A&F? What is that? A good Elijah/Frodo site? Can someone give me the link? I'd like to take a look.

 TT, you have an unique sense of humour!
If you want to, keep believing that Pam is Lij's stuffed alligator, that's fine. If you want to find out the truth, you can have a look at these pics, but - I'VE WARNED YOU! Click<<

A&F is the wonderful Elijah Fansite Always & Forever ( http://always.ejwsites.net/index.htm ). It's worth having a look, even more than just one ;-)

Wow. I haven't heard anything about his love life since he broke up with Franka Potente. This was a surprise. Um......... I don't know what to say.
That picture of him kissing her shoulder was really cute. And he looks so happy. That's good that he's happy. And two years. That's a long time to be together.
What's with people thinking he's gay? That's ridiculous! I never even heard that rumor.
What does everyone else here think of her? Pretty? Is she nice? Her smiloe looks a little forced. But maybe that's just the way she smiles...... I don't know. What do you guys think?

Oh! And that A&F site is really good. Very thorough. Lots of pictures. Nice. :)

Well, I can't say i know that much (yet) about Pam either, but Elijah seems to really be in love with her, and I'm happy for him in that regard. :) I would like to know more about her and Gogol Bordello...it just hasn't happened yet, lol. She seems nice, though. Hmm...stuffed alligator lol...Well, i must say she's the most attractive stuffed alligator i've ever seen...
I agree, A&F is one of the best Lij fansites out there. :-D (If anyone wants to join the A&F forum, btw, my username there is Starry-eyed. ;) )
Forever: Thank you! (I'm officially one year older than the last time I posted on this club. :P ) Thank you also for your kind words about my poems. I really like the ones you entered, too. :) Don't get discouraged (if you ever are ;) )--i've been writing for a little over 3 and a half years, but my first poems weren't as good as i could do now. Also, it takes extra practice to write in a second language (you're German, if i'm correct? ). Lol, i know about that from trying to write in Elvish. :P
Also, i hope you do get to meet Lij eventually (even in a different situation, if need be). After all, you never know what can happen. ;)

Happy Birthday Eariel! :-D

I'd like to find out more about her too. I'd like to hear some of her band's music. I've never heard of them until now. I wonder if they're any good. And I admit it. She's no stuffed alligator. :(

I hope you get to meet Lij someday too Forever! It's very possible. A lot of people have met him. He's supposed to be really really nice to his fans. Don't lose hope! But I have a question for you. Do you love Elijah because he's Elijah or because he's the closest thing to Frodo on earth? Both are pretty good reasons, so don't worry about me holding your answer against you. I'm just curious.

Also, it's really cool that you guys write poetry. I do a little myself, but it's all prettty much rubbish, so I only share it reluctantly with a few close friends. I'd love to hear some of the stuff you guys write though. Could you post some?

Thank you--I've had a good birthday.
Don't worry about the stuffed alligator thing. :P It just amused me greatly (but definately not in a laughing-at-you way ;) ), and that's something i thank
you for, though you may have inadvertantly caused it. :) As to your question to Forever, my own answer is...well, he used to be my favorite actor simply by default (because he played my favorite character on earth), but now i've come to love him for his own sake. I'm glad that's happened, because I think it's good to love people for who they really are. :)
About poems, same advice to you as to Forever: don't get discouraged--it does take practice. (Makes me sound like a veteran. lol) But yes, we could post some of ours--or at least, i could. (Can't let myself make promises for someone else. :P ) Here's one I wrote just last night...

Of Frodo and Arwen

She gave her grace away to him--
It sparkled in her tears:
When white ship passed from Arda's rim,
She'd stay through fading years:
Yet a fateful love within her dwells--
She again forsook bright Valmar's bells,
To release his heart from Morgul spells,
That he should live anew.

They told her, "You must seek the quay"--
He wearied neath his load:
But love will never pass away--
And death would end his road:
To Middle-earth she bound her fate--
He felt the Burden's growing weight--
Its waxing he must soon abate,
If both should live anew.

All light and laughter from him passed--
Her trembling hands grew cold:
As both lay dying at the last--
Lives bound to curs-ed gold--
The King fought hordes, of vict'ry shorn,
To draw them from the Waste forlorn,
Where the Gardner bore his friend so worn,
That both might live anew.

Two stars in heaven's tapestry,
Like Varda's lights they shine:
He'll sail soon beyond the Sea--
With her loved one she'll entwine:
When Darkness came, it dimmed their sheen,
But Ringbearer and Elvenqueen
Are clad again in Springtime green,
To live and love anew.

One word: B-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l!
Did you know that I print off all ot your poems just to be able to read them again and again?
I'm so eagerly waiting for you to put up your website ;-) (How is it going, btw?)
Oh, and you're right, I'm German. :-)

I actually wrote a new poem myself last evening. It was inspired firstly, by Tolkien's imagination of death, secondly by my Christian belief what comes after it, and of course my love for Frodo.
And as always, I'm not sure about my grammar. :confused2:

Eternity's call

Dark night lay round me
as I wakened from sleep.
Faint from a distance
the sound of a voice came to me
never heard, but yet well known
like rising from ancient memories
it echoed in my mind
waiting for me, calling.

And so I got up in the dark
and took my path through woods
passed by long forgotten places
broken buildings whose pointed shapes
glanced through the black veil of night
I did not halt or even look back
I knew where to go where someone was
waiting for me, calling.

At last the trees waned
and like a thousand lights
the reflection of stars far above
lay on the shimmering mirror of an endless sea.
And there, in front of me
out of a dream, as it seemed,
a golden winged ship lay on the shore
waiting for me, calling.

I knew what I had to do
without even a word I stepped forward
and went aboard and never returned.
As the ship silently left the shore
faint in the distance gloomed
the first light of dawn
and I felt that it was
waiting for me, calling.

Slowly the land faded away
and all my past seemed hidden by a veil
there was no reality than this journey
and everything that was lying ahead.
I was sailing from East to West
and saw white seagulls in my company
hearing their endless cry
waiting for me, calling.

Constantly night was drawn away
in the eastern sky grew the light
glittering foam on the dancing waves
like jewels that showed me the way
And as the first sunrays gloomed in the sky
like silver glass in the distance I saw
a far green country with white shores
waiting for me, calling.

As we drew near I could see a small shape
Suddenly a red and golden light loomed
and the sun made her way above the horizon
Now I saw, and I knew
it was you, standing on the shore
arms outstreched, welcoming me home
and understood you had always been
waiting for me, calling.

Parted we will be never again...

I'm not quite sure what it is about  You can see it as you want: Sam is following Frodo; I am following Frodo; the waiting person isn't Frodo at all - I don't know either. Depends on my mood how I am seeing it :P

TT: I'm not sure what it is like. I love him for having played Frodo, for being the perfect Frodo. I love him because he's one of the nicest persons I've ever seen, and the cutest, too btw :P.
And I admit it, I'd love to be Pam in these photos , but the real "boy of my heart", as you might put it, is Frodo. That Frodo he played. So it's kind of both of the reasons you mentioned. Quite complicated, I know

About Pam: I think she's quite pretty, and he seems to be really happy with her, and so I'm happy for him.

Wow you guys. I really loved your poems. Eariel, it's kind of funny that you wrote about those two together because Frodo is my favorite male (well, and my general favorite :) ) and Arwen is my favorite female. Besides that, it just had a really nice flow to it. And I like the language that you use. It's.............. eloquent. In a word.
Forever, your poem had a lot of really good, strong imagery in it. The pictures that were created in my mind while I was reading it were beautiful. And I love the thought of the poem overall. That there's someone you love waiting for you there when you move on.......... It's ust a really comforting and beautiful thought. And you communicated that really well.
That's cool that your German. I never would have guessed form you English. It's very good. How did you lear it so well?
Eariel, thanks for your advice. It is kind of hard not to get discouraged somtimes. I've been known to actually rip up pages of my poems because I'm just not satisfied with them. I doubt you ever have to worry about that though. *is jealous*
Forever, maybe your explantion would have seemed complicated to some people, but I understood exactly what you weer saying. Maybe it's just one fo those things..... you can only understand it if you love the same thing.
Once again guys, very beautiful poetry. And if you ever want to post more in the future, I'd be glad to hear it. I can be a severe critic tooo if need be. :) But I doubt I will with two such poets here...... :).

The poems from both of you were amazing. I wish I could write like that! Anyway I'd like to see these pictures of Pam. Where can you see them???
Once again, great jobs on the poems! They really made me feel. They were great!

I agree with Itarilde. :)
There's a link to the pictures of Pam about 7 posts up from you Itarilde. Posted by ForeverFrodo (thankies!) I recommend viewing them in a good mood. Otherwise, you could be in serious danger of plunging into complete despair. :)

^Lol.
Actually, TT, there are poems and lines of poems that i just can't seem to get right. I don't have it all figured out, either! You're welcome, btw. I'm always glad to encourage my fellow poets. :) I liked the thought of a poem about Frodo and Arwen (she's one of my favorite females, too), because (in the movie) she gave her life's grace away to him, later on (in the book) she gave him a white gem that would help with the memory of the darkness, as well as her place on the ship (i believe), and (also in the movie) they both seemed to wane as the Ring waxed. Also, they just sort of "go together" in my mind, if you know what i mean. I'm glad you and Itarilde liked it. :)
Forever: Thank you! I liked your poem, too. That idea of a person waiting for you beyond the world is one that i use a lot too, and it's special to me (because of Frodo and all ;) ). Actually, I have one I could post...just let me pull it up here...
All right! I've (finally) finished punctuating it. This one is a lot like yours, Forever (at least, if you interpret it as you going and Frodo waiting), because...well, that's exactly what happens in my poem, too. :P It's a "bit" long, and a little mushy at the end (depending on how you define mushy ;) ), but it's Frodo, so what can I say? :P Well, here goes...*is sending her baby out into the world lol*

O Sorrow, let me go--
I yearn no more to know
Thy darkness and thy woe--
O Sorrow, let me go:
O Parting, set me free--
Close up, thou endless Sea!
Beyond thee let me be--
O Parting, set me free!

Thou shore of golden sand--
Most westward mortal land--
Release me from thy strand,
Thou shore of golden sand:
O let me fly from Earth,
My place of mortal birth,
And pass the long grey firthe--
O let my fly from Earth!

O waves on Sea-sand cast,
Know you to where he passed,
From Arda flown at last?--
O waves on seasand cast:
O Sea untamed and deep,
My loved one do you keep,
Where hearts shall never weep?--
O Sea untamed and deep!

Grey Havens, wait you still?--
Thy shores with seawinds fill,
Where stars their silver spill--
Grey Havens, wait you still?
O tell me, gibbus Moon,
Came he to seashore dune,
To pass the Firthe of Lune?--
O tell me, gibbus Moon!

O bear me far away,
Sweet ship of Elvengrey!--
On Earth no more I stay--
O bear me far away:
Fair vessel, take me home--
No longer can I roam
Along the pearly foam--
Fair vessel, take me home!

O Middle-earth, farewell!--
Thy song I love to tell,
But oceanbillows swell--
O Middle-earth, farewell!
Grey seas of Arda, pass--
Release this mortal lass!--
I go to silver glass:
Grey seas of Arda, pass!

Lead on, O Flame of Gold--
Thy rays of glory hold
The Elvenbliss of old--
Lead on, O Flame of Gold:
O Star of Twilight, sing,
My journey home to bring,
Borne up on silver wing--
O Star of Twilight, sing!

Shine, stars of silver-white--
More fair than mortal sight:
My soul is bathed in light--
Shine, stars of silver-white:
O sing, my soul: rejoice--
For love has made thy choice
To answer Aman's voice--
O sing, my soul: rejoice!

At last end of the World,
The curtain here is furled--
All fears are from us hurled,
At last end of the World:
Roll back, O misty rain--
I long to cross thy lane,
And cast off fear and pain--
Roll back, O misty rain!

As night goes by, I wait,
To pass through Arda's gate,
To last and blissful fate--
As night goes by, I wait:
The dark is grown less deep--
The Dawn shall rise from sleep,
And joy long hope shall reap--
The dark is grown less deep!

As night is from us drawn,
The trumpets of the Dawn
Turn waters silver wan--
As night is from us drawn:
The Morn shall soon arise,
White-kindling the skies--
Tears sparkle in my eyes--
The Morn shall soon arise!

Flame-white the Ocean burns--
The grey to silver turns:
For home my spirit yearns--
Flame-white the Ocean burns:
The silver veil is shorn--
Earth glories in the Morn,
So blissful and unworn--
The silver veil is shorn!

White shores on silver Sea
Bound green land fair and free:
Beyond them I shall be--
White shores on silver Sea:
All weariness is past--
My way leads home at last,
Across the Sea so vast--
All weariness is past.

The Elves are all about,
Though lonely I set out--
Their hail a joyful shout,
The Elves are all about:
But one my gaze has caught--
For him so long I've sought--
All else turns into naught,
But one my gaze has caught.

With joy like silver flame
In bliss I call his name,
Who long before me came,
With joy like silver flame:
His eyes and mine now meet--
There glows his smile sweet:
My light at last I greet--
His eyes and mine now meet.
