Shannon took a bit to recooperate. She slowly wiped her eyes and sniffled. She bit her lip and slowly looked up to Mort. She stood up and walked over to him. "Do you really want me to go, Mort?" She asked him softly. She let her now red eyes look into his.

Mort's head lifted up, another expression was on his face, and something was different about his eyes.
His rimmed glasses reflected the lamps in the room. And his voice spoke out, "Shannon...help me..." he mummbled quietly. Beads of sweat grew over his brow and his hands trembled as he clenched his hair.
