Angel usually thought that the flying was worth being a mutant, but not as she watched their "home" burn, or as she looked atthe expressions on the other Angels's faces. She looked round at the others,pushing her blond crkscrew curls out of her face."Where are we going? The money we stole from the School was all in the house and we don't fit in very well." she asked, scowling at her wings.

Cadeus heard the flap of the wings and swore. He ran for the window only to see the last of the Angels disappear. He turned back to a human and shot at them but he knew he missed them.

Layien spread her wings wide, flying beside Raven as she heard another gun shot whiz through the air. She looked around widely, her eyes wide.

"I have some money," Aras said to Angel. "We'll think of somewhere to go." His forehead was lined in it's usual frown.

Angel tried to smile back but it still looked forced. "Can't they just leave us alone?" she snapped, hearing the gunshots whistle through the air. She kicked out at a cloud in irritation but only succeded in kicking off one of her precious ballet slippers, which was hanging by threads from over wearing. Immeadiently she swooped down, not caring who might see her, and disapeared below the cloud canopy.

"Angel!" Layien cried in frustration, fear, and anger at the wolves and then said, "I'll go get her. I'll meet you somewhere..." Then, she dove under to follow Angel.

Aras reacted out of instinct, diving downwards after Layien and Angel. He broke through the cloud cover, scanning the sky for the young girl.

Layien did an turn in the oppisite direction, knowing that Aras was going to look for her in the other way. She stayed still and flapped her wings, looking around before she saw more clouds coming in, making the veiw more blurry.

Aras slowed his pace slightly, flying down as he looked around for the girl. "Angel?" he called.

Layien flew quickly, her speed picking up. "Angel? Angel!" She called, worried.

Fuming, Raven tucked in her wings and shot down like a bolt of lightning. She fell like a stone through the layers of cloud, sharp eyes picking up a lot even through the fog.
As the ground came into view, she ducked into the shadow of a tall building.
Her small feet touched the ground and she pulled what seemed to be a large anorak out of her bag, tugging it over her neatly folded wings and lithe body.
The bustle of the streets always alarmed her, but she was intent on finding Angel.

Angel wandered the streets, desperatly looking for a hint of pink amongst the dreary, rain streaked road. The out of the corner of her eye she saw it, balanced on a very sorry looking rose bush. She clutched it close to her. "It's OK Raven, I've found it" she said, then realised the others weren't there. "Raven? Aras? Layien? Anyone?!?" she shouted.

Catching the sound, Raven bounded towards it, ushering Angel angrily into a sidepassage, scowling at her.
"Dont ever run off like that again- Youre a danger to us all!" she scolded angrily, a fierce expression in her eyes.

Hearing voices below him, Aras flew down. His sharp eyes spotted Angel and Raven in an alley. He glanced around quickly and, not seeing anyone else, flew to join them. "Don't do anything like that again, Angel." he said, hiding his concern under anger.

Layien also felt the sudden worry disappear and she spotted the three below her. She waited another moment, for the streets held memories even her closest friend below did not know; but finally she took an desprate dive and flew beside them, landing gracefully in the shadows. When she saw Angel, she could only cry out softly in joy and wrap her arms around her in an hug. "Angel!...I thought we lost you!!" She said, almost in tears.
