I usually have so many going at the same time because I write down too many of my ideas at the same time. It's a bad habit I probably should working breaking.

I'm not sure whether I mentioned it before, but I've made it my habit to carry one (or more) "scribble books" around. Sometimes it just happens that good ideas turn up, or I'm bored and manage to think of something. I'm always cross if I think of something and I can't write it down!!

Ok, weird question, but does anyone write stories out of their dreams (if you see what I mean)?

I carry a little notebook around in my purse. It's not big enough to write much in, but big enough so I can write down character names, ideas, etc. that come to me.

I've written a couple of things that were inspired by dreams. One's historical fiction, and another is erm, I don't know how to describe it. Kind of a look at a criminal's mind.

I don't carry anything around with me, mainly because my new ideas bug me so much that I'd never forget them anyway. most of my ideas come when I'm lying in bed before I fall asleep. I don't typically dream about my stories, but I do get ideas from my dreams.

It normally happens that I dream about something and forget it as soon as I wake up, so I can't write them down. The faint memory bugs me for ages!

I've actually never gotten ideas from my dreams, probably because my dreams sound cool for the couple of seconds after I wake up, but then as the day progresses, the idea just sounds dumb.
And I do carry around a notebook with me, I call it my brainstorm book. Just incase I want to write something down that sounds good.

If I don't write down an idea immidiately I lose it forever. So I have to carry around my notebook where ever I go.

Sometimes, I forget my book, and when I think of an idea and I can't write it down, then I go back trying to remember what it was. But I end up only remembering some of it, and I end up taking what I remember and twisting it into something better . That's usually how it ends up. I sort of like it that way. I guess it's just how my mind works.

Also, I have a question. Just out of curiousity, no one has to answer.
Do any of you prefer poems or stories or both, and why?

It depends. I like both. I find that I can get into stories better. I also like that characters are better developed. Poems flow, and they soud very elegant, but I don't like really long ones.

Hee hee. I joined fiction press, and have posted a few stories. Here they are, if you want to read them

Gingerbread: http://www.fictionpress.com/read.php?storyid=2207011

Mira (I havn't typed much of this out, but I have about 70 note book pages worth of stuff. I hope to fix it up and get it published)

I got a schedule book for school and it has a notepad in the back. I am constanly spewing out ideas from my head. I am suprised I don't words, pictures, and colors buzzing around my head for the world to see. lol. I have a wonderful tale in the making, I just have to keep working on it now; and actually finish it.

*sigh* What a daunting task... finishing what you started...

I forgot to ask, what page is the Banner on? I am too lazy to go through 29 pages to look for it. :p

Wandering Darkness, next time, you could use the edit feature to add things you might have forgotten to put. Just a suggestion.

By the way, look on page 21 for the banner. I went and looked through the pages for you.

Thanks!

As I said before, my computer has been acting up. It was easier to just add another post. Sorry. The problem is being fixed. ;)

No! No! No! Entirely mine! I shouldn't have asked. I thought someone already knew what page to look on. I didn't want anyone to go out of their way for my account! I'm sincerly sorry!

I like stories better than poems, mostly because my poetry isn't all that good. XD

Ooh! I just remembered. This year for school, there's going to be a club called Teen Ink. It's for students who like to write to get together, write, talk about writing (kinda like this club, eh? XD), and work toward publication! Exciting! XD
