Nostariel: Hello my daughter!!!!
OKay, I have a question for you ladies, now that I remember what it was. Since you girls asked us guys why we arent emotional enough, then why are you too emotional?

i think you should re-think who you are addressing this question to, you see, LDM and i arent that emotional, and well as for the rest....i think it has somthing to do with letting it out, and sometimes some girls do it for just pure attention, also we dont have to impress other people by showing them how tough we are

How do you define too emotional though? People show emotion in different ways and have differnt levels of emotion. If someome shows emotion, to one person it could seem over powering, but to another quite ordinary.

*Huggles Larael back* ARGH! I've missed you and everyone else so much! Yeah, I'm a first-time public schooler, and it's been keeping me EXTREMELY busy. After school, it's field hockey practice, eat, shower, homework, bed. No free time in there, as you can see.
*Laughs at Telpeath's question* No, it's not stupid. A good question. But as Mornie said, not all of us are extremely emotional. And someone can be really emotional without showing it on the outside.
Anyway, I can't exactly explain why we're that way. As Este sort of said, could you define that a bit more? Are you defining too emotional as crying over something small, or constantly chatting with our friends about what made is mad the other day, etc.?

One reason girls can seem more emotional than guys is because, and I know some of you probably don't want to hear this, but every month when a girl is about to be on and on her period her horomones are messed up and it can cause emotional mood swings. This is something that guys obviously don't have to go through.

^It's the facts of life guys.
But really, we seem more emotional because I think we show our feelings more. If we're mad, you'll know it, if we're sad, you'll know it. It's just one of those things you can't exactly pinpoint. Plus, I think it's easier for girls to let out their emotions, because they don't have to look "tough" or anything.
I'll admit though, some girls tend to have worse mood swings than others, or are just more emotional in general. It's different for everyone, as most of us have stated.

Awww, don't worry it will get much better as the year goes on and as you become more organised. I'm assuming field hockey doesn't go on all year, does it?
Anyway, just don't get too stressed dear, and remember we're here for you.

^Well said Banana and Larael! Something I'd like to add...
Probably 90% of why girls show emotion is because they want support. This totally varies from person to person, though. This isn't always the case, but a lot of times why we'll be all quiet around people is because we're trying to give them a hint that something is bothering us. We love to talk about what has made us sad or mad or happy that day.
I won't make a generalization on this one, but I'm pretty sure it's true for the majority for girls -- I highly dislike holding emotion in. I'd rather talk about it with someone I trust than keep all my junk inside.
Girls love to talk. You guys have probably noticed that. I think our way of venting emotion is by talking.
Yeah, that post was pretty random and choppy, but my thoughts just kept spilling out in waves like that.
EDIT:

Not to mention the physical pain. [ Every month, mind you] Another thing guys, we may use the above as an excuse for being irritated a lot, but there are times that it's just darn true.

-nods- Yup yup, and I'd say I AM a very emotional person. When I'm about to be (and am) on my period, I literally warn all my friends (even guys) that I'm PMSing and to be careful. I'm pretty bad, and I feel bad cuz I can't help it, but other then when I'm PMSing, I'm relitively a happy person...

So, I think we've come to the conclusion that [guys], you do not want to mess with a girl during her period, or otherwise be prepared to see the emotions fly.

LOL Larael. But the emotional side doesn't get me as much as the physical. I have about two days when pain killers don't even do the job. It's such a pain... I've had to stay in bed before. *sniff*
Well, you guys get the picture, right? Just know that we poor women suffer. And that we think you all are very, very lucky.

I agree, it's horrible. I also get super bad growing pains all down my legs that sometimes make me cry....but that's beside the point. Lol.
In a way I'm not a very emotional person, I don't like hugs all that much, I don't get stressed, I don't worry about things unless they're super big. My parents and brother and the exact opposite. Which is why I believe I was swapped at birth. Mum will literally have full blown, whispered arguments/conversations with herself because stuff plays on her mind so much.
But I do love to talk, as you must have gathered by now.....and cry...but only at books.
