wow Tinuviel i know exactly how you feel about being scared for falling off

i mean i have fallen off so many times and i get nervous whenever i ride the sppoky horses but i try to calm down cause i know they feed off your emotions......

yeah im just afraid im going to hurt myself the next time i fall off :S

so i have a wuestion for you guys as the founder i would like to ask you all if there is anything i can do to make this club more enjoyable like host games or competitions where memhbies gain points or stuff

i just feel like right now its just talking about horses and there should be a little more excitement than that

Personally I think you should be completely comfortable doing everything on the flat. My trainer has guidelines of being ready to jump. I'll post the ones that I remember.
You have to...
-be able to trot and canter with no stirrups
-post and two-point with no stirrups
-have a tight lower and upper leg
-be able to hold your two-point around the arena like a bizillion times

I can't think of the other ones right now. My trainer gives an evaluation to see if you're ready. Anyway, those guidelines may seem easy to you, but if you don't practice them while you're learning on the flat, then you won't be ready to jump.
I believe that you need to be riding on the flat for more than a year, but you might excel at skills faster than other people do. I was riding for 4 years when I started jumping. Then I quit jumping and started again a while after. So that's just my opinion.

haha yeah are you talking to me? if soooo then yeah i was riding on the flat for like a year before i started jumping.

I can canter with no stirrups and trot and i trot and canter bareback. I can vaguely remember posting without any stirrups ok and i can do two point without stirrups. And i can hold my two point around the arena cantering and troting and walking. We practice a lot of good jumping position in Hong Kong.
I CANT WAIT FOR THE 2008 OLYMPICS because the equestrian event is being held in HONG KONG

Hey! I live in Fl, USA right now, and don't own a horse! Florida isn't a horse state! So I can only get a horse if it's borded... which I don't think would be fun because I couldn't leave in the middle of the night to go for a moonlight ride...

Well... my parents have been talking for awhile about moving were there are season seasons! down here in Florida it's just hot, and Hotter! We might, this summer, sell our house we live in now, and buy some property in Tennisse(sp?) neer the Smokey Mountains.

Yesterday my parents were online looking for property for sale in Tennisse. Well, they found a place with a three bedroom, two bathrrom house, with a property of 5 acres... just what we're lookin for. Well... in american money it's $150,000, which is considered cheap for 5 acres and a brick 3 bedroom, two bathroom house!

With a bargain like that, in a perfect location, lots of land (might already have a barn), we would get a few horses! Yay... though it's not set in stone... but MABY in a year I'll have my own horse!

YEAH! thats good news Eru haha and Weeziey thats also good news! I wish i could own a horse but i live in Hong Kong no space and the only option is to lease a horse and i would have to take a car or a bus and hour away from my home to get to the stables where it would be kept and thats noo fun.
