Rock is definatly my favorite genre of music. I really like classic rock, prog, indie, hard rock, and the old punk bands. I'm pretty much everywhere when it comes to music though-I can also take small doses of alternative hip-hop, classical, blues, metal, soundtracks, ect. The only genre that I can abosolutly not stand is country.
As for favorite songs, I love way too many for me to pick a favorite.

Some of my favorite genres are; Celtic, New Age, Indie Rock and Folk, Classic Rock, classical, hip-hop, bluegrass, blues, various jazz genres, folk, Arabic Pop, Traditional Arabic music, some country. Alternative, some pop, latin, Soundtracks....Errr....
Well, at work we listen to a lot of Indie Rock and Metal (Slayer and such....I don't know metal genres )
Me pick a song? I have about over 200 favorite songs, I put them on a playlist on my iPod....I couldn't possibly pick one...but I suppose; "Brothers on a Hotel Bed" by Death Cab for Cutie and "Engine Driver" by The Decemberists, are my absolute favorites

I like all kinds of music: rock, clasical, pop, oldies, some rap, etc. The only types of music I really can't stand are country and folk music. No offense to those that do it's just not my cup of tea.
Favourite songs...gosh too many to name, I would be here for hours...A couple of my faves would be "Help!" and "I am the Walrus" by the Beatles and "Always Look on the Bright Side of Life" by Eric Idle.

I like most music genres, at least I seem to be able to find something interesting in most of them. My taste is very [s]boring[/s] mainstream, and I don't like 'noisy' music, so that leaves out most punk, metal and goth, which seems to be what most people here listen to. There's got to be some kind of melody...
Well, music is so difficult to define and describe, it's only when I listen to it I can tell if I like it

mostly hard rock, punk, alternative, metal... rap and pop are okay but it depends on the song. a few years back I was a fan of country. I listen to it anymore, but I suppose I could still stand it.

Haha. I'm like you. I don't listen to hard music either...I'm pretty much a softie when it comes to music. In fact, I don't even listen to any music with words all that often...I like instrumental music the best!

I like indie rock and indielectrontic rock. I am also into movie soundtracks and classical music. I can't stand heavy metal, rap, or country. No offense to those that like them but I can hardly concernate or think whie listening to that.

My main genre in recent time have been Hip-hop (Underground, G-Funk, Older Gangsta Rap, Hyphy and old pre 90's hip-hop)
Some favourite songs:
Immortal Technique - Peruvian Cocaine
2pac - Keep ya head up
Canibus - Poet Laureate II
Eminem - Stan
Ice Cube - It was a good day
Kanye West feat. Jay-Z - Never Let Me Down
Masta Ace - Alphabet Soup
But before I got hooked on Hip-hop I listened to a lot of Trance and Dance music. Some of my favourite styles of Trance is Anthem, Hard, Vocal and Dream.
Some favourite songs:
Anya MacLeod - Follow Me (Delshamar Remix)
Ayu - Connected (Talla 2XLC Vocal Remix)
Cosmic Gate - Mental Athmosphere (Midnight Mix)
Delirium feat. Sarah McLachlan - Silence (DJ Tiesto In Search Of Sunrise Remix)
Marc Et Claude - I Need Your Lovin (Like The Sunshine)
Minimalistix - Struggle For Pleasure
Strings Of Harmony - Sadness (John B. Norman Remix)
But I have numerous other genres I like
Celtic, New Age, Soundtrack, Grunge, Britpop, Punk, Symphonic metal, reggae, and some female pop artists.
But there's probably more.
Some favourite song among all those genres:
Wolfstone - Heart and soul
Enya - Evening Falls
John Williams - A window to the past (Harry Potter POA)
Nirvana - Smells Like Teen Spirit
The Verve - Bitter Sweet Symphony
Flogging Molly - May The Living Be Dead (In Our Wake)
Sex Pistols - God Save The Queen
Within Temptation - Mother Earth
Bob Marley - No woman, no cry
Kelly Clarkson - Because of you
Hope you all didn't get bored, lol.

I like Rock and Metal
My favourite bands are Guns N' Roses, Creed, Supernova, Velvet Revolver, Evanescence, and Linkin Park. I have too many favourite songs so I won't even attempt to put them all here.
