We're going to southern New Jersey to visit relatives, and we won't be coming back to Europe until the end of August or so, so I'll be in the USA most of the summer.

Yeah, maybe we can pick the RPG up again later. Again, it's been a lot of fun RPing with you guys.

Lol, I just read back a few pages in this RPG to figure out where we left off. We're walking to the hangar right now, to leave on our mission. Viree is in one of her invisible forms following Sahrai and na'Tatha discreetly....or at least following na'Tatha discreetly, since Sahrai would be able to sense her Force presence. I'm going to read back a few more pages just to get a better grasp, and then, if I can get Madoc, or at least Valera back here, then we can start.

As they reached the hangar, Sahrai shook his head. "They're not going to be fast enough to meet us here, so they'll meet up with us in-flight, and we'll see them once we've landed." He paused partway into the hangar. "Just a warning, though....some of his commandoes are very combat-oriented, and don't talk about much else. Their social skills aren't very developed, so you might find it hard to have a conversation with them." He resumed his pace, reaching the Serendipity a few moments later. Disabling all the security systems, he walked up the ramp.

na'Tatha followed him aboard. "That shouldn't be a problem, Master Faradej, unless their combat-centeredness doesn't extend into irrational bloodlust in the field." As he began running the pre-flight procedures, she set her gear bag down and took a seat in the passenger area. "But then, if it did, I wouldn't imagine that they had survived this long."

Sahrai smiled as he 'heard' Viree's voice in his head. 'At least that's not all you talk about,' he thought back. "No, they're not actually bloodthirsty," he said, turning back to na'Tatha. "You won't want to get too close, either...last I saw, most of them were walking armories of vibroshivs and other small and concealable blades....that don't all have sheaths." He grinned again, recalling the last time he had failed to take his own advice and had accidently bumped into one of them. At least he had only needed to leave the bacta patch on for a week.

na'Tatha lifted an ironic eyebrow. "It sounds like they would be in more danger of being injured by themselves than by an enemy. But thanks for the advice." She settled back in her acceleration couch as the engines rose to a higher pitch, running a mental inventory of her gear. Weapons tended to become focal points - but what really mattered was the wielder.

Sahrai shrugged. "They manage to avoid it, somehow. I guess they're just accustomed to watching what they do in order to not stab themselves." Inwardly, he was raising an eyebrow at Viree's comment. He doubted she had any weapons he hadn'tpicked up on, unless she had found some that simply shunted the Force and weren't an 'absence' from it, like Yuuzhan Vong technology was.
As they passed the city outskirts, Sahrai activated the ships stealth-mode, which, since he hadn't been able to get his hands on a cloaking device for it, simply consisted of sensor-blocking equipment and other things like that, though anyone with eyes would be able to see them if they were close enough.

Current Plot Situation: The Taarin and Maedan are now unofficially at war, in the "surgical strike" phase. There have been no above-board ground intrusions. Any communication between the sides is tenuous at best. ... "We're going to take out the source of the hatred I told you about earlier, which I have a feeling will also do a lot in terms of pacifying the Maedan again."

Current Character Situation: Plenty of tension between our characters. Mine is definately very duty-bound, but I hope to see some current character development as this RP progresses. Ideas?

"I'm assuming that our rendezvous point is not at the location of the malevolent force," na'Tatha began, then glanced at her datapad as it began beeping, indicating an incoming message. After perusing the brief letter, she activated her communicator. "Associate Y'Garam, this is Subcommander na'Tatha. I've just received an invitation from TaaraNet to interview on tonight's newscast, which will be in approximately three hours."
Y'Garam's response was prompt. "Accept. You have no reason not to - technically, you're still at headquarters."
"I can't risk running a video feed, sir. We can keep my end of the data transmission on a masked channel, audio only. I'll tell them I don't have time to prepare for video."
"That's acceptable. Keep in mind that our mutual friend will be keeping a sharp eye on that interview. Be careful of the signals you send."
"Noted, sir. na'Tatha out."
She leaned back in her seat and closed her eyes. If there was one thing that could be a military political analyst's downfall, it was a live interview on the most popular Taarin newsband. Any slips of the tongue would be instantly broadcast not only to the Taarin, but to the Maedan and to di'Mano. The same words would need to send reassurance to the Taarin, resolution but some openness to the Maedan, and compliance to di'Mano.
Practical political science was no easy task. Perhaps she should have accepted a theoretical research position at a university, instead.
