Lol, mine would be:
Chicken or Turkey with Dejon mustard, loads of gravy, mash, roast taters, yorkshire puddings (eaten last with gravy) peas and carrots.
For pud I'd have chocolate fudge cake with hot chocolate sause or almond tart, or lemon flan.
*Stomach rumbles*
Now look!

No, but I can imagine what they'd be like. I think the only way to have them is with gravy. But that's just me.
G2G now, go to bed.

Ouch. How did they manage to run away?
Fudge is just glorious. I love strawberry fudge or just the normal flavour. I much prefer it to toffee.

geesh, toffee can't touch fudge. there is only one substance that can surpass Fudge, and that is... marzipan. Marzipan keeps me happy for hours
I have had then together coated in chocolate, and that is one dream sweet :D:D:D:D:D:D:D

The ignorant American is back for some more knowledge, hopefully this time it won't seem offensive .
Anyways in my German class today we were discussing the Christmas holiday and I was curious what Christmas is like over in the U.K. I hear it's not nearly as big or commericalized as it is here in the States but I'd rather hear about it from someone who actually lives in the U.K.

Well your quite right about it not being as commercalized as I believe the US to be. You don't get massive big parades with inflatables and all that and although I believe some big department stores may have Father Christmases' I'm not sure. Generally, Christmas over here is great. It's very big, just as much as in other countries. Shops will start selling Christmas decorations as early as October and there is a good variety of modern stuff and traditional. I personally prefer traditional but as long as modern decoration are kept in the traditional sense, that's Ok as well. You will find most cities, towns villages etc, highly decoarted for Christmas. I think it's very nice that people make the effort.
Now, the bad part. Christmas has been getting more commercial these past few years and I'm afraid we Brits are loosing the war with Americanization. There are too many people over here say "Santa Claus" (when people say that to me I say "who?") and also more people are decorating the outside of their houses. Niow this normally would be fine - but most people are making it look cheap and tacky with inflatable Homer Simpsons and platic snowman and stuff like that. It REALLY annoys me.
That's why I like driving through little villages, especially in Wales, as people there have a more traditional sense.

People tend to not put lights on their houses?
And I understand not liking the plastic snowman thing. It is rather tackey. Although the inflatable Poohbear dressed as Santa was cool lol.

No, not really. Decorating the inside is what most people do, although you will find lots of lovely window displays so people on the outside can see things as well. Some houses can look very nice if they have stuff outside, but some are just a bit of a over-the-top eyesore. We really have no way to put lights on our house (although I don't think we could if we could) but we have lights and stars in the windows. I do love Christmas so much. I'll try and post some pics of what houses round here look like.

Cool . Most people put lights on the outside of their houses. My neighbors down the street have an amazing display of blue lights that they put up all over their house and front yard, stringing some of the lights up into the trees, it's really amazing. The only bad thing about it though is people tend to drive slowly past it and gawk, which is kind of annoying when you want to go somewhere.
