(Ok, officially starting..)
…She's so small.
A leather-clad figure watched a small speck of a girl lying in the cloudy snow. His pale plastic pink lips smiled. Although he was somewhat glad to see a visitor, it made him shake with terror as well. It was like seeing a great thunderstorm crash through the sky when a child came into the courtyard, because it would cause great awe and fear at the exact same time.
But it was then that a sharp terror surged through his body, as he saw the little girl sprawled out, limp as a rag doll. Strangely, her small porcelian face looking blue amongst the white snow and her small eyes were closed, yet she didn't look like she was sleeping.
Oh no..
He rushed out of the attic, down the long stone steps, and pushed open the incredibly heavy front door. Since he couldn’t spare any hands to help her up, so he knelt down and carefully picked her up with what he could use with the rest of his arms. He was particularly careful to check that his abnormal hands were a safe enough distance from the tiny creature, and he gingerly brought the unconscious child into the House on the Hill.

katherine looked out the window wearily...her children had fought once more, how difficult it could be! her poor girl was probably wondering the cold streets in sorrow...she loved her brother quite alot...but sometimes....sometimes they just forgot themselves....she gave her daughter five minutes to return, she always returnes from long melancholic walks late....this time....this time it didnt feel right....she went in to talk to her son dustin "darling, do you think your sister will be long?"

Lieing lifeless and limp in Edward's arms, lay Lucy. Her breathing was shallow, her face pale and blue.....apparently she had remained out in the cold too long.
Once inside of the castle, Lucy began to shudder with cold. In Edward's arms she might have felt like a vibrating machine.

Kim remained in her daughter's living room. Dustin and Lucy usually had fights and she did not want to intervene on this one. Katherine would take care of the matter.
Grabbing her yarn and knitting needle she began to knit as she rocked back and forth slowly in her rocking chair.

The figure of the 'mechanical' man stood over the small hay bed which was in the inside of a fireplace covered with clips of magazines, book illustrations, and newspapers. The air smelt wet and of cookies.
The gentleness of his breathing seemed to calm the tiny body that drooped over his arms. In the softest fashion possible, he layed the little creature down into the bed, and then slowly back away into the shadows.

The small girl curled up into a tight ball trying to keep warm inside of the strange hay bed. Her teeth began to chatter but she still remained asleep.

The black suited figure came by the bed again.
He knelt down and stared at the pretty creature. She was so small, so fragile, like a snow flake that would break in the slightest breeze. She had such soft looking skin, he wanted to touch it, feel it, but he sadly had to let it go knowing he never could. His attention turned to her hair, it looked just as soft as her skin. Brown slight waves curled around the ends, and white flakes from the outside decorated and intertwined into her hair like a vine.
He liked her asleep. So many children were afraid of him. But, his father had taught him many things about etiquette, and one interesting thing his father had taught him was how to handle children, the voice of the old, kindly inventor still echoed in the boy’s metal mind, "Be especially gentle with children. Children are fragile things, much more fragile than adults are, and they are very sensitive to first impressions. They like stories and toys and sweet candy. They hate medicine and household chores and taking baths. It’s your duty, Edward, as well as everybody else’s duty, to protect and comfort them."

The shivering began to stop and the chattering of teeth. Even though the castle was not warm, the fireplace protected her from the cold wind that blew through the hole in the roof.
She stirred in the bed and rolled onto her back. She kept her hands close to her chest and yawned softly.
Rolling back onto her side and curling up once again into a warm ball, she slowly began to open her eyes. She blinked them about five times and stared at the floor. Apparently she was still in a daze from sleeping because she did not see Edward nor react with shock at the new surroundings.
