These are really nice, especially the Memoirs one.
My honest opinion is that you could try playing with the lighting a little. Like soemone mentioned, try duplicating the picture layer, and setting it to overlay, or soft, light try all of them and see what you like!

Wow! Awesome work Sam. Your beginning graphics were good, but I loved seeing how you improved. I love the textured banners and your wallpapers are awesome! Keep it up!
Ooh those are getting real good, daughter!! I have a suggestion for playing around with lighting ... you can try duplicating the layers (merged), then set the duplicated layer to "gaussian blur" (you can play around with the levels of it) and then set that to maybe "overlay", "screen", "soft light" or "screen" ... it has really pretty results ... and try a bit of "reduce noise" on the scratchy-looking pictures sometimes ... it smoothens things out a lot

wow! I just tried that on a wallie i was makin...works well!
Since people are actually looking now...i guess i shall update with some of the thousand new things i've made I shall finish this wallie and do that!
