Edward held his breath. The small creature was moving, he did not want to frighten her, yet for the truth of this story, he was the one feeling frightened.
He shuddered back into the shadows, hiding in them with shallow breaths and waiting....

Name: Lilly Kindle
Age: 8
Sex: Female
Apperance: Dark brown hair with a slight curl that hangs down to the middle of her back. Most of the time she has her hair pulled back into a pony tail. She has brown eyes and a lovely pink shade of skin. She's thin like most girls her age and she wears the clothing of the in styles.
History: She grew up with Lucy, they had been friends ever since Lilly moved into the house down the block. They always played together and were more like sisters then friends really. Lilly lived with her mother and her two brothers and her sister. Her father and mother were devorced when she was two, she never saw her father again. However, she lives a happy life where she is but for all the snow.

After staring at the wooden floor for a long period of time, Lucy finally sat up and rubbed her eyes with her small hands. As she opened them, she blinked hard.
Then it hit her...."WHERE AM I?" she thought. She quickly stood up and looked at the large hole in the roof. She rubbed her hands together since she was still cold from being outside. She walked toward the rectangular window off to her right. She peered through them and brushed the frost off.
Small lights appeared in the distance. She looked hard at them and finally realized that is was a town.

The shadow jolted, surprised, and got up; it retreated backwards, against the darkest wall.
The boards across the room creaked, giving away something was there. There was a shimmer of something sharp.

Lilly sat in her house, leaning off the back of the couch looking out the window. The snow was beginning to fall harder, the flakes becoming bigger as the night went on. She watched as the street lights started to come on and she turned back around and sat down on the couch.
She would have been over at Lucy's if her brother hadn't gotten her into trouble. She frowned and looked down at the floor, then she stood up and walked to her room. She crawled up in her bunk bed, she had the top one and her sister had the bottom. She layed down and looked out her bedroom window up at the hill. There was a building of some sort up there but she never paid attention to it. She just wanted to watch the snow and be comfortable.

Lucy turned quickly with a gasp and jump. The creaking boards alerted her small ears. Her big brown eyes darted back and forth across the room searching for any sign of something.
Catching the glimmer of metal in the moolight, she jumped again and clutched her hands to her chest. Her legs quivered from fear and cold.
"Uh..hello?" she said as quiet as a mouse. She then tried again, "Hello?.....Is someone there?"

The shadow stood there for a long time, trying to blend in with the dark. It lowered its head, "Yes..." The thing paused slightly, shifting nervously in the protection of the darkness. A clickity-click and snippety-snip noise came from where the figure was hidden.

Lucy's heart was now beating fast. She was frightened but at the same time curious, just like any normal child. She stepped forward away from the window and into the moolight. Her breath could be seen in puffs before her mouth. Her silky brown hair blew softly with the night wind.
Her eyes continued to search the dark corner. "Who are you? Can you come out?" she said with her voice quivering.

After the smallest voice came out of the child's mouth, Edward took a small step forward; it was a tall, crazy haired, and incredibly skinny man, with what looked like very long knives in his hands.

Lucy held her breath as she felt her stomach drop and her heart leap into her throat. The man looked like a nightmare to her. She backed up slowly as her eyes grew large and frightened.
Then Lucy screamed at the top of her lungs piercing the silent night air. The sight of the knives in his hands scared her to death.

Immediately, the shimmer of knives disappeared into the velvet black shadows once more. The snippity-snips sounds stopped.
The gloomy room was suddenly silenced. The rays of the moon showed into the hole in the roof, but nothing was revealed besides the floating dust...

Once the sharp knives disappeared, Lucy stopped screaming. Her mind and heart were racing. Shifting her eyes toward the concrete staircase, that seemed to lead downstairs, she slowly began to inch her way there. The boards creaked loudly and winced everytime. She would make a dash for it.......

The person in the shadows, sighed sadly. He had scared yet another child away. It had happened so much the last time he was in Suburbia, that now he had grown numb to it...but yet, it still hurt his tired heart.
"Don't go..." came a small, sad sounding voice.

Once the voice spoke from the corner, Lucy gave out a small scream again. She had now worked herself up so much, that any noise or movement would have frightened her.
She remained completely still.....standing like a deer in headlights. It took her a couple seconds to ask the question, "Why don't you want me to go?" Her eyes filled with tears as fear now overwhelmed her.
