I've ridden western since I was like 4... I started english about three months ago!
Well, um... I think the front is the Pommel and the back the cantle? I think thats right... new at the english... but if it is right than only give me 2... I don't want to be a point hog...

I like western, you have more riding freedom, I think! Like in western I can turn around in the saddle, with my hole body! Plus I've been riding western longer!

The highest I've jumped was a jump maybe 1 or 2 feet high... and that was only yesterday!
yesterday I had a riding lesson... I have to tell you about this one!
Okay, I was supposed to ride a white gelding named Indie. Well... during my lesson he wouldn't cooprate. He kept side stepping, and yanking his head. So my trainer told me to get off, and go a lung line, and put him on it. After about 20 min Indie was pretty sweaty, but my instructer didn't do anything, he just ran around in circles. After that I got back on and he acted better! I got to jump a jump about 1-2 feet high before the lesson ended!
Edit:
I wish I was a real good rider and live in midevel times so I could be a hooded rider, and a good fighter! I want to be a good archer too!

yesterday, my horse diesel was being really good. i took the advanced jumping lesson and we went up to almost 4 feet. i was very proud of my horse because he was jumping the huge oxers and overall listening very well. he's still learning and im still learning with him but we're improving. i was also proud of amoniel because she and her horse are just awesome together and she has no fear when it comes to the high stuff. i was also proud of my other sister (aka- pirateatheart) because she's doing the high stuff too now! and doing absolutely great!

hahah sounds like you guys have awesome horses
the other day i rode a horse named Suzie Wong
shes this terribly fast not stopping horse and shes terrible at jumping because shes afraid to do them because shes afraid people will be left behind and yank on her mouth. So i was jumping her and she like refused almost all of the jumps AT LEAST once I had to walk her up to every jump and even then she refused them. One time she stopped and tried running out but i was NOT going to let her. I took her up to the jump and let her see it and circled her back around and did it again she finally went over it. and the last jump she didnt refuse at all. I didn't get left behind on her on any of thejumps and i think she had a trust in me towards the end.
yeah thats my story
and Eru aha you do learn fast

BLah! Hard work and horse snot somehow go together!
Just got back fro m doing my share of work at the ranch I keep my horse at. Spent lots of time with my Rubey Lee!
I worked with her on the trail course in-hand. She did ok until we went to the tire things that we were supposed to back up all the way around . But she did good other than that!
Oh and if the question is still going its
Front: Pommel Back:Cantel
( So you know I ride Western....if I was supposed to tell you.....)
