Ah, well then rough-housing might be something that younger boys will do. By the way, by rough-housing I think Gwen means playing/joking around, teasing eachother. That kind of stuff. Not necessarily fighting.

Rough-housing is definitly a guy thing, though girls can be rough too. (srry if I'm making any assumptions guys!) As for if guys get rough with girls, I think it depends on the guy.

Haha, I think that can be the case for both genders...all of us do silly and clutzy things around our crushes.

^Lol definitely.
Whenever my friends and I are around someone we like, or that one of us has a crush on we tend to get all giggly. We joke around, talk [louder than we should], and laugh insanely, which always gets us weird looks from the guy. As Gwen said, both genders tend to do it.

^I know!! Isn't it just the truth??
An example from my life: I'm walking with my friends to the tennis courts during PE, and I suddenly spot this guy I've had my eye on. It's like this switch is flipped on the side of my head, and I immediately stop listening to my friend's story and turn all my attention to the guy a few yards in front of me. And then I think what happens is I try and get his attention -- you see, I'm doing all this without thinking, it's very complicated. So I'll begin laughing at my friend's story, and maybe start telling one of my own as soon as possible.
The hard part was that that day in tennis I completely made a fool of myself when my friend and I played against him. I can't play tennis to save my life, so I was attempting to serve over and over when he finally said, "Just hit it over." I was like, nice job, the one time you really needed to look good...

Yeah, I used to act incredibly stupid when there was a girl I found attractive nearby. Now I try to take it easy and act natural, well at least what I think is my natural state. But still if someone like the girl on my sigs was nearby, I would do something outrageously stupid. But now I mostly just stare at the girl. One time in orchestra class, since the girl I like plays in it and so do I, I was staring at her a bit too much. My conductor, thankfully, thought I was staring at the wall and got me to redirect my attention to him.

LOL, this is so funny to read. [You must've had a few good laughs, Darrell ]
Yeah, I'm always wondering what to say when I'm with guys my age...as pip said, I usually make some dumb comment or try and crack a joke that doesn't get any laughs.

pip&leggyluvr: Suprise ME!!! ^_^ LOL!!!!!

To answer your question ladies, we must first understand why, like you said. If we are attracted to a girl, in some dimension we want her to notice us, or reconise that we exsist. The fact that we act differently is mostly because we are nervious, we dont want to act stupid or....stupid. We need to keep up our reputation, or make a reputation if we dont have one. Well, I act somewhat different with those I like, more mature and well-grounded because I want them to notice or like me! But around my friends, I am really quite calm.
Thats what I have to say. Anymore questions for Telpeath, the Wise and Noble Gentleman?

I think the feelings we go through when we're around someone we like of the opposite gender is pretty much the same for both girls and guys.
I have this terrible habit of talking non-stop when the guy I like is near, or if I'm talking to him. It's just because I'm nervous. Everyone does stupid and silly things when they're nervous.
