Oh wow ... that sounds really exciting ...
once a guy on our team was practicing with us in the gym and his arrow landed right in the middle of the basketball board thing ... the weirdest part was that the net wasn't even down ... plus the coach was really angry because he refused to believe that it was an accident since we're all OFSAA archers and so was the guy

Mine don't usually go off either... that was last year, I very rarely miss now.

Lol, that's kind of funny! I want to do that! It's sounds fun, except we don't shoot in a basketball court and I would probably ruin my arrow.. which the cost 5 dollars a piece!

haha we shouldn't but our school practically refuses to invest in the Archery Team, which is unfair, because they financially and emotinally support the other school sports teams (soccer, basketball, etc...) and they just shunt the Archery Team to whatever corner is available to practice in.
i should really demand more financial support from the principal

That's mean! Archery is a great sport and should be supported! Yes you should demand it from the principal!

once I was shooting at a target 18 meters away, and on the target was a piece of tape about a square inch big, and I hit it twice in one end!

oO that's great you guys!!! i'll tell you Arwen ... tournaments are super fun ... in fact if you google my RL name with my first ever tournament you'll be able to find my score along with all the participants' ... mind you it's the worst score I have ever gotten because it was my first tournament ... the tournament was an Ontario one called "ROPSSAA" ... the second one I went to was even bigger ... only five people out of our huge team of 10+ were selected to go and I was one of them ... that one was "OFSAA" ... so yeah I have no idea where the OFSAA scores disappeared to but google "OFSAA Veronica Carvajal" and you'll find my score ...
(the guy that i like *Sean Chin* did loads better than me ... his scores are there too... )

How many ends did you shoot in your competition haldir? I shot 20, which as you probably know, whooting 20 ends with a recurve bow is exhausting. Plus in the hotel we stayed in, the emptied the big dumpsters at 6 am!!! So it woke everyone up, and we ate breakfast at 7 then went to our competition at 10 and it didn't end until 4:30 and we didn't eat until 5! We were soooooooooo hungry!

heyy wow I shot 20 ends too!! and I know exactly how exhausting that is ... ... we were there from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. so that's just a few more hours than you .. but yeah it was pretty tiring... curse those idiots who claim that archery isn't a tiring sport!!!

20 pounds, I sent you a pm about our graphics because theyre soo pretty! I've pulled a 70 pound compound, but since it was a compound, I wasn't holding 70 pounds the whole time, just partway.

oohh wow ... yeah compounds are usually pretty heavy ... a guy on the team who was shooting compound let me pull his (i wonder how heavy it was...) and I couldn't even move the string ... pretty embarassing ...
but wow i doubt i'd be able to pull a 70-pound ... lucky you

I think it was 70... mabye 50 I don't know. My coach put 50 pound limbs on this guy I shoot with's recurve bow! 50 pounds! And the guy is only 11 years old! He shot 3 ends like that and gave up because he couldn't pull it back anymore. I wanted to try 50, just to see how long I could do it, but my coach didn't have the right limbs for me bow.
