Gorgeous Eariel! *swoons* It's absolutely wonderful!
I have heard a lot of people say that thought he was too "pretty". I don't think that way at all. Frodo was described as fair of face, and as in your banner, an Elvish light about him. Elijah had those things. He was perfect. I just learn to tune out the people who say he's too pretty or something.
I really want to get the EEs. But I think I'm going to get the new limited edtions that are coming out. I heard they got bad reviews, but I still want them. Do you guys know anything about it?
Speaking of male beauty, are any of you going to Bilbo's birthday ball? The day of many B's.

I've never actually heard anyone say Elijah was too pretty. But now that you mention that, I could see why people would be immature like that. I have sad confession to make: I used to be one of those people who didn't like Elijah. But don't worry I discovered the error of my ways.

I suppose we shall forgive you, then. Lol, just kidding! Yeah, at first he was just my favorite actor by default (since he played my favorite character), so i've also learned better...
Btw, thanks--i'm glad you liked my banner. They actually aren't lyrics--they're just words i decided to put on the banner. Elvish light...yep, i think Elijah as well as Frodo has that. He may not know it, but he does.

*slips in*
*looks carefully around*
*hides behind a tree*
Did anybody see me? I wanted to make it a big SURPRISE! I'm back a few days earlier than exspected
*tacklehugs TT and Eariel*
So how've you been? Did you know that it is a lot of work to read through all the pages you wrote without me being here? Really nice work, in any case
Italy has been a lot of fun. Standing on the shore and looking at the sea gives you a pretty LotR-ish feeling, you know. I'll post some photos in the Picture thread tomorrow.
But it's good to be back. Awww, I really missed you. I thought about you every day and wanted so bad to send you a postcard...
And I read LotR. Got a lot of lovely Frodo images on my head when reading TTT (4th book). This part of Frodo and Sam trying to get to Mordor is soo beautiful. Gotta love Frodo even more (if that's possible) for what he does to save the world.

EEP! DOUBLE EEP! FOREVER IS BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We have missed you. I'm leaping around my house right now because I'm so glad you're back!
I'm so jealous that you were in Italy. I bet you had an amazing time. Let me know when you get those piccies up. Since I can't go to Italy myself, I love seeing other people's pictures. A girl in one of my classes went to Italy this summer and she brought her scrapbook to show us. I practically drooled all over her pictures. It was so beautiful.
Sorry about all the extra reading. We talked quite a bit.
I definitely love the images I get while reading LOTR. The Frodo ones are especially lovely. He does do so much to save Middle Earth. A Middle Earth he can't even enjoy anymore after the Ring. *sigh* I love him so much.
Elijah Wood is amazing. An amazing actor and an amazing person. I've heard he's one of the nicest to his fans, signing autographs and such. I like Elijah as Frodo, but I like him because he is himself. I like him for him. Everything I've ever read about him....... makes me.....
Ok. Let's not get into this now. New topic.
I forgive you Itarlide. You have seen the error of your ways. You've come back to the light. Obviously, or why would you be in this club?
Once again, I am so glad to have you back Forever!
Of course I love you all too. It's just that I haven't seen Forever in....... forever! LOL. <3

*majorly eeps along with TT* *bounces* Oh, that was such a wonderful, unexpected surprise! *tackle hugs Forever back* So glad to see you, girl! Yaaay! w00t w00t w00t! Oh yeah! *randomly starts playing air guitar* *which is weird, because my instrument is piano*
All right...*calms down*
"makes you...?" Don't worry, i think i know what you mean, TT. He makes me...as well. Usually. [s]yeah right, like there's a time he doesn't, lol[/s]. So...with that said...or left unsaid...
You're right, by all acounts Elijah is extremely nice to us fans. Such a gentleman... *feels an urge to hug him* *so what else is new?*
You know, as i may have said before (just in case you wonder why i'm repeating myself ) it was while reading the second book of TTT (we have TTT...and TT ) that i really...fell in love with Frodo. That was what made me a Ringer, being the cornerstone of my love for LotR, and since then it's been almost three years. What better way to spend those three years than absolutely adoring the Ringbearer, as i will for the rest of my life? *sigh* It's a happy thought.
Speaking of which it's soooo goood to have you back, Forever! TT and i were counting the days, lol. And Itarilde, please don't feel left out. TT, Forever and I have grown rather close recently, so it was hard that she had to leave, and really exciting that she's back. All right, group hug! *pulls Itarilde in*

Aww. I feel deeply moved. *hides tears* Thank you for the warm welcome. I just had to make a gift for you:
You are right, TT, Italy was awesome. I'll tell you when I get the pics up. *scratches head* *asks herself* Should I post a picture of myself? hmhmhm....
That's one of the things that I love about Elijah. That he's so polite and nice to all his fans, although fangirls must be terribly annoying at times. But he said he always wants to treat people the way he'd want to be treated, and that's a thing I admire. Because I get nervous very easily when people are harrying me. So, a real gentleman *dreamy look*
Ah, one thing I wanted to tell you: I listend to my Simon & Garfunkel CD yesterday, and after some time I heard the song "Bright Eyes". And I was like, sitting and staring at my Frodo posters and listening "Bright eyes, burning like fire..." It was amazing. A great song, and I never noticed how perfectly it fits for Frodo
TTT is such a great book. I read the bit where it seems to Sam that a light is shining through Frodo and thought of you, Eariel. It is indeed beautiful Makes me cry, for some reason.
Eariel, I didn't know that you play the piano. I do so, too! For how long have you been playing?
I noticed that your avvie isn't working anymore. Sometimes I hate tinypic. Try out this url: http://i2.tinypic.com/3yzddl4.jpg
Hope it's working with this one...

Forever, you've made my day. Another beautfiul present. And so very appropriate. You are such an amazing graphics maker! Definitely let us know the next time you open up a claim!
I don't understand why everyone thinks TTT is the worst one. (LOL. yeah. Sometimes TT and TTT can get confusing. ) I loved it. Of course, I loved all the books, but I didn't think TTT was the worst one at all. I thought it was the one where you really started to see how much the Ring was taking Frodo. The scenes with Sam in this book really showed the power and the indissolubility if Frodo and Sam's friendship. It's a great book.
LOL. My aunt likes Simon and Garfunkel. She listens to them a lot. They're not bad. I actually kind of like them as well. I don't know if I've ever heard that song though. Bright Eyes. It does sound very Frodo/Elijah appropriate.
There is a song by a band called the Postal Service called Such Great Heights. It's actually a good song. There is one part in particular that talks about eyes at the beginning..............here. Let me post the lyrics. since I can't remember them exactly myself.
I am thinking it's a sign that the freckles
In our eyes are mirror images and when
We kiss they're perfectly aligned
And I have to speculate that God himself
Did make us into corresponding shapes like
Puzzle pieces from the clay
True, it may seem like a stretch, but
Its thoughts like this that catch my troubled
Head when you're away when I am missing you to death
When you are out there on the road for
Several weeks of shows and when you scan
The radio, I hope this song will guide you home
They will see us waving from such great
Heights, 'come down now,' they'll say
But everything looks perfect from far away,
'come down now,' but we'll stay...
I tried my best to leave this all on your
Machine but the persistent beat it sounded
Thin upon listening
That frankly will not fly. you will hear
The shrillest highs and lowest lows with
The windows down when this is guiding you home
There. The freckles in our eyes part always makes me think about............. Elijah really. Yes Eariel. He makes me.............
I never know what I'd do if I met a celebrity I've always wanted to meet. I wouldn't want to just let the opportunity pass by, because who knows if I'd ever get bthe chance again, and most likely not. But at the same time, I wouldn't want to go up to them and be saying how much I like them and asking for their autograph and such like a crazed fangirl or something. Because I'm not a fangirl. And I don't want the celebrity that I like to think I'm really creepy or just and average fangirl or something. *sigh* So confusing. Whok knows what I'd do. Probably faint or something so that none of this would matter.
Oh yes and Itarilde, please don't feel left out! We love you too!
Alright. I think I have taken up enough space with my uselessness for one post. I'll talk to you all later.
A thousand thank you's again to Forever for the second beautiful present!

Use fullness. Lol.
Yes, meeting him would be...amazing. I know what you mean--i wouldn't want to impose on him. Still, in a not-too-serious way i take pride in calling myself a fangirl, just...because. It's hard to explain, sort of like "makes me..." what. [s]Plus, swooning is fun[/s].
Yes, Forever, it worked--thank you! As it turned out, when i checked my profile the link had disapeared, so that might have been the reason. Hmm... I went ahead and used your new link anyway, though. Thanks for that new present! It's beautiful, just like the scene from whence it came. Don't be afraid to post pics of yourself, btw, lol. I always like finding out what my friends look like. (That sounds strange, but online, it can be that way. )
I was touched to hear you thought of me while reading the "light" part. It's one of my favorites. You're right, TT--while i think RotK is my favorite (it gets really... deep into emotional and spiritual matters, if you know what i'm talking about, and the Frodo and Sam part of the story has some very tender moments, which i love whenever i run across them ), TTT also holds a special place in my heart. There's that sense of just being on a journey with Frodo and Sam (and Gollum), where the former is still reasonably himself. You really start to see his beauty and...of course, that book won me over to LotR.
Btw, i've been playing for...maybe eight years? I think i had a break in there somewhere...but i enjoy it, and i guess i've gotten reasonably good. I like to make up accompaniments to my songs on the piano.

^ I'm glad someone thinks I'm usefull.
I think it all depends on how you look at the word fangirl. I have negative associations with the word fangirl. I think of them as the kind of person celebrities get restraining orders against because they stalk them. Obviously, I know you're not like that Eariel. Or are you? Just kidding! Just kidding!
The piano is a beautiful instrument. I wish now that I had learned how to play. I can plunk out a few tunes with one hand, but that's about it. I can play most of Greensleeves. All of Ode to Joy. And a few little kids songs. But that's it. Just the results of my sitting down and picking out the tune. I can't play concertos or anything special like you pros probably can. I really do love the way piano sounds though. So pretty.
I think ROTK was the most moving for me. I cried the most while reading it. And I couldn't sleep at all after I saw it/read it, for at least two nights after. I think after the movie it was more like a week. But that's how deeply I got involved in the story. My mother thought it was giving me nightmares because I wasn't sleeping, but it wasn't nightmares. I just couldn't stop thinking about it. Now, it still effects me in a deep way, but I can sleep. It just took me the first time to sort of everything out and realize that everythign had happened and why it had happened the way it did.turthfully, I usually think of LOTR more as one very big book than as three separate ones. And I love every single chapter, page, paragraph, sentence,a nd word of it.
I agree with what you said about TTT though. It does give you a sense of being there with Frodo, Sam , and Gollum. I feel like that throughout LOTR. I feel like I am there with the characters. When they struggle, I struggle with them. TTT was the last time you really got to see Frodo as himself. By the time we get to ROTK, they are already getting so close to Mount Doom that the Frodo as we know him is fading fast from the first pages. It was hard to read. You get so attached to the characters, particularly Frodo that it's always hard to see them in pain.

For everybody who wants to see some of my pictures from Italy, I've posted some at the Picture thread ( http://arwen-undomiel.com/forum/viewtop ... 321#542321 ) and I'll get up more soon.
I finally finished reading through the last 4 pages. You guys had wonderful ideas for Elijah's and Frodo's birthday.Being graphic-obsessed as I am, I've another idea: We could make a birthday-graphic thingy where everybody puts something like a picture of thierselves or a Frodo pic and writes something they'd like to tell Frodo. Something that way. I'd make the graphic and you give me the pic/text/whatever. But your ideas are all so good, couldn't we just do everything or at least two of them?
Eariel, I'll read your fanfic soon when I've time.
I've been playing the piano for 11 years now and I love it. I'm now able to play concerts (gonna play a Mozart concert with orchestra this year) and I couldn't live without it.
I know what you mean about seeing pics of your online friends. It can be funny because you often imagine other people completely different from what they really look like. For example, I imagine you to be a tall girl with long dark hair who is rather shy and quiet. The poet cliche.
And TT looks for me more like a hobbit, with curly brown hair and very lively. LOL. Did I get anything right?
TT: I was the same way when I first read/watched LotR. Couldn't sleep and cried a lot. Because of the beauty of these works. My mom told me I was going crazy
It was a weird time because I actually used to love someone like I love Frodo now and for some time, I didn't know whom I loved more and well... it was confusing
Oh yeah. I love both TTT and RotK. But my favourite chapter of all has always been "Mount Doom", mainly because of the very tender moments, as Eariel put it. Aw. I love the bit where Frodo asks Sam to hold his hands so he doesn't put on the Ring and Sam takes them and kisses them..awwwww!!!

LOL. Good guesses. But not quite. I look more like what you thought for Eariel, minus the height. I do have brown hair, but it's not curly. It's very long and straight. It won't even curl when I want it too. And I don't think I look much like a Hobbit, though I am short (only 5 foot 1 inch). My friends tell me that I look like an Elf. I'm not sure I belive them though. That might be too good to be true.
I really like your graphics idea. I can't make graphics. I don't have any of the software on my computer. But if you're volunteering to make them for us, then of course! I love your graphics! And why couldn't we do all of the ideas? Frodo and Lij deserve it! Only 12 more days until Frodo's birthday!
Definitely read Eariel's fanfic! It's awesome! And Eariel, let us all know when you've posted the sequel!
It is so confusing when you love two people at once! Absolutely crazy. That's enough to keep you awake as much as LOTR does.
The Mount Doom chapter are always the most moving for me. I cry the hardest when I read it. It's the climax, the peak of everything. The peak of Frodo's pain and suffering and temptation. Elijah acted out the scene so well. It looked and felt as though all of his being was fixed and centered on one thing :the Ring. Thank goodness for good old Sam. I don't know what wouldv'e happened to our Frodo if Sam wasn't there. I know I've posted this before, but every time Frodo says, "I'm glad to be with you Samwise Gamgee. Here at the end of all things." I lose it. I bawl my eyes out. It's so............. beautifully despairing. He has no hope left. So he holds on to his best friend in what he thinks are his last moments. *sigh* Frodo.
EDIT: I have a question. When I first joined here, I saw someone running around with a banner for this club. I think it may have been Itarilde. Well I thought, I have to find that club. Only I never did. And now I have. And I love it so very much. And now I am wondering if that banner is still available. Because I remember it being pretty awesome, and I was wondering if it was still available for use in my siggy. So does anyone know? Please and thank you!

I edited the first post and put the banner there. It was made by Forever, btw.
Lol, i'm 5'7, i think (does that count as tall?) and i do have long dark (well, sort of honey brown) hair. Really long--below my waist, and i'm not kidding. As to being quiet and shy, i do love harmony and peace (quarreling sort of jars me ) but i'm definately an extravert, despite the fact that i'm very into 'artistic things', you know, that involve just thinking quietly, as well. So, you got me sort of right.
Btw, i'm glad to hear about you playing in an orchestra, Forever. Sounds cool. I haven't done anything like that, not yet at least... I might be terrified. I enjoy performing though, and that's usually part of it, so... Cool. But I do think you should learn to play, TT, if you want to. It's never too late! Especially if you just want to play for fun, for yourself or friends, or something like that.
Hmm...Mount Doom is my favorite chapter as well. I think I like the part on the side of the Mountain more than at Sammath Naur the Chambers of Fire. I love that part where Sam takes Frodo's hands in his own. So sad... (Not sad sad, but you know what i mean? Emotionally wrenching, or something)
I'd be glad for you to read my fanfic, Forever. And i'l let you know about the sequel...I've almost finished the rough draft, though i still have to write the Epilogue. Btw, did you get a chance to check out Storyteller's fanfic site, TT? (It was you who was thinking about doing that, right?)
The graphics idea sounds good. I think we could do all of the ideas, if we want. Let's party! Frodo deserves it. I think i know what it's like to dearly love more than one person. You sort of can't 'think deeply' about both at once--it has to be one or the other--or at least that's how it is for me.
TT, i don't think there was necessarilly no hope--not of being rescued, i mean, just...well, white shores and all of that, like Gandalf told Pippin--but it's true that he was choosing to focus just on Sam in that moment. It's sweet. I think (at least at first) he was more noticing how the Ring wasn't burdening him anymore than that he would die soon--the one sort of outweighed the other, if you know what i mean. Hope that makes sense, and i didn't offend you. (I know i probably didn't, i just wanted to make sure. ) But anyway...i'm not entirely certain it makes sense to me, so...hmm.

Oh no. The club banner. I made it a long time ago and I never really liked it. Of course, not because of the pictures, but I didn't like the way it turned out. I could do better now. Perhaps I'll make a new one when I can find the time.
I just printed your fanfic off, Eariel. I don't like reading long text at the computer screen. Good old paper goes better with me
*yawn* I'm tired. Just finished my new site layout and the day after tomorrow is... school again! So, sorry for the short post. I'll write more tomorrow

Forever: Well I happen to like it. And so I'm putting it in my siggy just to spite you. Nice new banner by the way! And avvy.
Eariel: I remember now. I clicked on the link to go read the other fanfic, but I got called away fomr the computer by something or the other and never got back to it. I will try to read it later and edit this post with my opinion/comments, etc. And by the way, I wasn't offended at all. I meant that he had no hope of them being rescued. You're right though, he definitely had hope of a world beyond. I hope I didn't offend you with what I said about fangirls or anything. In think it's cool if you like to say you're a fangirl.
So....... does anyone feel like going back and putting together all of our ideas for Frodo's B-day? Like the official plan? Because I am too lazy to do it at the moment. Mybe I can later though if no one does.
I think that's about it for now. I'll try yo get to that fanfic later!
TTFN!

Ok, so sorry I haven't been on lately. My dad grounded me from the computer cause he thought I was on it too much. But I'm back.
Yay! Forever's back! Sorry, I would post more but I don't want my dad to catch me on. (i'm still not truely allowed to be back on ) But I'll keep brainstorming for Frodo's birthday.
