256 days and some-odd hours, actually. I don't count the day we're on, nor do most websites.
I followed DMC spoilers for almost two whole years (I started before we even had a definite title for it), so this seems like nothing to me (though I have been getting AWE spoilers for about 4-5 months already). I started my DMC daily countdown on July 7th, 2005, so 256 looks quite nice to me (comparatively).

Yeah, it will go faster for AWE than how it felt for DMC I believe...

No witchcraft, Padawan. A bit on the supernatural side, but by no means witchcraft. If anything it leans toward Greek mythology (which several things in this film do, actually).

Dark: I can understand why (being a Christian myself) their parents would have a problem with the use of witchcraft, but that probably is a discussion better suited for pm.
Padawan, dk, galadhrim: Don't worry about it, 'kay? He is most decidedly dead, but there is no use of witchcraft in this (to the furthest extent of my knowledge). If your parents were okay with Aztec curses and old nautical lore, they'll be okay with this one. The best thing you can do is continually show that you're perfectly aware that it's fiction and not dwell on those particular aspects of the movies (i.e.- rather than spending all your time discussing the implications of the Aztec curse, talk about the moral lessons to be learned from the movies. I know there are some; my highly conservative Southern Baptist church used several clips from CotBP for a youth sermon one time). So...yeah. Just tell them that someone who already knows what's happening isn't worried about it, so they have no reason to be (trust me: I'm about as conservative as they come).
But...yeah. *switches off of religious stuff before the moddies become angry*
So, AWE, eh?

Okay...that's comforting, as I would be in the same situation others here have previously mentioned regarding witchcraft.
AWE! *coughs* Well then.
I made a PotC counter at tickerfactory.com! Yay!
(It was as close to piratey as I could get )
