An cloud-filled sky, moonless, overshadowed the tall, dark looking towers of Hogwarts, A History, as it is offically called. (But most everyone still calls it Hogwarts.) An forest to the back of it, an ocean to the front, this is the coolest and creepest school you could ever imagain going to. Some where lucky enough. Many long, wooden boats filled the seas, heading towards this enchanted place. All the first years stared at the huge castle, all in horror for it looked fearsome. But, any student 2nd year and up, was smiling and laughing with there friends. Two siblings, an 5th year and an 4th year, sat in the long boat. Both where in the House of Endure, which they where proud to be in. The 5th year, whoms name was Shade Dragonbane, sat looking at the water, because he loved to swim. The other, Layien Dragonbane, stared at the long enduring forest, which she spent as much time as she could in, for she had an special connection with the Birds, Beasts, and Creatures of that forest. Both teens where outcasts for different reasons, but they both also had special friends who trusted them and knew them by there real side. Those siblings and friends will play an very important role in the turning of the tide.

In the same boat sat two others, a girl with brilliant red hair that was curling violently from the sudden humidity, and a dark-haired, older boy, who looked slightly more serious and was listening absently to the girl chatter.

"So I told her...Nick, do listen, this is absolutely hilarious."

"What - oh - sorry, Jas...just thinking."

"About class, as usual? How dull. When will you ever learn - you only get to do school once! You'd best have fun!"

Layien heard the confronsation and Shade whispered, "I hope the chap makes it through the night." Layien punched him in the arm, but couldn't help grinning as the boats reached the shore and an tall, strongly built teacher stood there, holding her lantern. Wearing her long black cloak with an hawk on her shoulder, an wolf at her side, and an draing sticking it's head of of her pocket, Layien knew that all the first and probably second years just peed there pants. She smiled as she hoped out and said, "Good evening, Professor. " Miss Forest, Care of Magical Creatures Professor smiles and said, "Ah, hullo Layien and Shade. Pleasure to see you to again. Layien, could you take care of Sea tonight after the feast. He is in my classroom." Layien nodded and the Professor smiled approvingly as more student tried to avoid her as much as possible.

The boy, Nick, avoided the intimidating teacher's eyes and trudged past, hands in his pockets, but the girl, Jasmine, continued to chatter brightly, inserting in between her words a cheerful. "G'd evening, Professor!" before a short girl hit Nick so hard he took a few steps back. "Ooof - Ari! Stop it!"

The girl grinned and shook long black hair out of her face. "Sorry! Long time no see!"

Nick rolled his eyes. "It's been two days, Ari. Calm down."
