Did your parents get them from breeders?
Urgh..celebrities..they cause more suffering to animals because of their *fashion* then they will ever admit.
Oh, the happy hours we spent on the phone looking for small dogs. I won't be getting one for a few years I don't think.
But I have three hamsters! My Syrian (the larger of the hamsters) is just over a year old and called Barney. I also have 2 Russian hamsters (tiny things) called Zippy and Nippy (guess why) but I usually call them the Widgie Ones.

Am I strange to tell you that I'm afraid of dogs..? One bit me a month ago, but I had already a dog-phobia long before that... I like little ones though..

We got 3 of them from breeders, but we got Vienna from a local shelter.

So true. 'tis quite sad the things they'll do for fashion.
Awww... I've always wanted a hamster or two! But unfortunately, with 4 dogs around we've already got plenty of animals to care for.

Well it's always good if you rehome a dog but sometime reputable breeders are best.
Well Barney is my fourth Syrian hamster. It's quite a long story the history of my hamsters but it's a tradition that when they go the the hamster heaven in the sky, the day after we go and get another one. It just really helps, as if I didn't have a hamster, there would be a big gap in my day.

Oh that is helpful. I guess it helps ease the pain of their passing, and fills the gap in your heart that they've left behind, no? I'm assuming you're pretty close with your hamsters. It's how I am with my poms.

Awww... it's not that bad. For a while I didn't have a pet and I was completely normal. Once you get a pet though... sometimes they can drive you nuts!

I am very close to them. People may not think they have personality, you just stick them in a cage and there you go. But they have all had wonderful characters, that you would only see if you actually handled them. I don't know what I would be like with dogs if I'm like this with little critters.

I can only imagine JF! If you love your hamsters that much, just think of what it would be like with dogs.
Hey, do you think it's possible to be very close with your fish if you have one? I think it'd be pretty hard...

Aw, I'd love a cuddly little hamster. I have two cute little puppies *laughs at the absurdity of that phrase* but they're really not my puppies anymore. Why, they turned 5 years old on the 13th of August. Here they are:
Unfortunately, they're beagles...and they're bred to hunt rodents...sooo, no hamsters for me. *sad*
But they're really cute!

Well the Widgie Ones..they're pretty evil..I wouldn't be surprised if you heard about them on the news, I'm sure they're planning world domination. Really cute though.
I used to have fish when I was little. I was forvever taking them out the tank and my parents had to keep them putting back in..yeah..

Awww... I'll be watching out for them, the little devils.
Meh... my sister used to have a fish. We didn't really care when it died. No one really "bonded" with it if you know what I mean.

Yeah, I mean I couldn't really bond with a cod or anything so I don't suppose a goldfish is much different. They look nice though, especially these really big aqauriums.

Aye. I think fish are more for show, than to bond with.
