Drake shrugged. And stroked Granit's muzzle.
"Um... we could take the time to go look for your horse, or ride double. Or go back through the wood, to the stable, and get another horse..."

Personaly, Ithil wanted to ride double, so she'd have Drake right there, when they got to the dragons. She shivered. She trusted Drake, but that didn't mean she wasn't still afraid of them. "Do we have time to go back?" she asked. "It doesn't really matter to me.....whatever you think."

Drake thought for a moment, pondering the ups and downs of each choice. He knew his horse really wouldn't like the extra wieght if ridden double. It would take longest to go after the horse that ran off, and last, who knows what trouble is in the forest... they all had bad downs.
"I think we should go get another horse from the stable..."he explained the reasons for that.
"Your a good fighter? right?" he didn't even wait for an answer. Drake braught an extra sword from the saddle on Granit, and tossed the sword, with the blade in the sheath, at Ithil...

Ithil caught it, and looked at Drake. "Thanks," she said pulling the sword out of it's sheath, & examining it. "All right," she said, putting her sword on, "Let's go get another horse."

Drake nodded and started off into the forest. He went at a gentle jog, Granit trotting at his left. He looked over his shoulder to make sure Ithil was fallowing...

Ithil followed Drake coutouisly (sp?) into the forest.....(sry talking on the phone, brain dead. lol )

They got through the forest without trouble. Drake went into the stable to look at each horse. Hopfully he picked out a sterdy bay that looked like it wouldn't spook at anything.
"'ope he doesn't get scared by the dragons... Most horses do.."

"I really never saw other people near dragon mountain. Probably all the bad things said about them. Dragons are actually nice... in a harsh, snappy sorta way..."

"C'mon, it's not safe to linger, not with a killer on the loose!"

Kiyoshi stopped once in the woods. Then he climbed up a tree, untied his mask, and rested for a little while. He had had a hectic day of killing different people. he thought about when he first started his bloody job. he had felt guilty for a while. but he needed the money and now killing, to him, was his way of life. He didn't think anything of it anymore. Usually the only thing he ever thought of was himself. People thought he was often too selfesh, but nobody had ever loved him b4. So he had to love himself to keep from breaking down. Then he thought about seeing Ethelred dieing. At the thought of it he laughed so hard that he nearly fell out of the tree.

Ithil frowned, and shivered. She had forgotten about the killer......She fiddled with her hands...."Maybe....maybe I should....you know, ride with you....I mean, like, just so i can get a horse......But that way I'm not like.....you know, down here.....alone.."

"Did I look like I was mounting? But it would be faster!" Drake said, then mounted, and held a hand down to Ithil.
"Get on!"

Ithil grabbed Drake's hand, & felt her heart leap into her throat. Stop That, she thought, and climbed onto his horse.

As soon as Ithil was on, Drake made Granit go at a small canter.
"Duck!" he said, and did so himself as a branch came that if you didn't duck would knowck you off your horse...
