"You can't base your suspicions just on that though..do you have anything else that points you in the direction of it being agent Renie?" Jack asked his daughter.

"Well...there's just Kali was 'sick' today. And I'm positive there's a mole in APO otherwise Sark and the SG agents wouldn't always get there before us. And there was the warehouses that had the Rambaldi artifacts, they disappeared. The only way to find those is to acess the files from APO." Sydney took a breath and then said. "She also said my name, and it wasn't just that, it was the way she said my name."

Jack looked at her.
"How did she say it, exactly?"

"It was in a tone that most people would use to scare someone, and it was just loud enough to that I would hear it... even though the voice wasn't her's...something about it.. something reminded me of her." she said.

"Sydney, do you think that maybe you're just thinking this because Renie used to work for a terrorist organization?" Jack asked.

Sydney almost rolled her eyes but decided not too. Instead she sighed.
"No, I mean.. i guess that just backs it up. Kali's denied she still has feelings for Sark but she did call out to him in Italy. If she changed once she can change again. She's different now anyways...not like what she used to be..."

"How so?" Jack asked.

"On some of the missions...she seems almost.. ruthless. I don't think she'd used the tranqs, unless everyone else was..." Sydney was about to say more when the doctor came in. She looked from Sydney to her father.
"Agent Bristow, I believe you should let your daughter get some rest now. She has had quite a day."
"I agree." Jack said. He looked at Sydney once more and then left the room, leaving her to think.
"Now get some rest," said the doctor.
"I'll try." Sydney lied.
The doctor chuckled and said, "Sure you will." before leaving the room. Sydney did get some sleep, after a while.

Kali found herself in a grassy place, standing in between several rows of white chairs; it was becoming dark as the sun set behind her. There was a crowd of people sitting in each chair around Kali, and they were all focusing their attention in front of them. They didn’t seem to notice Kali; it was as if she wasn’t there at all. She looked in front of her, in the direction where everyone else was looking, and she saw a black casket sitting in front of the crowd. She suddenly felt a sharp twang of pain, as if she knew whose body was in the casket. Just as soon as she looked in the direction of the casket, it began to rain. Everyone else beside Kali pulled out umbrellas and walked past her, not even noticing her. The crowd of people soon all disappeared, and Kali was the only one left at the cemetery. The rain poured down upon her, and she soon became dripping wet all over, but she didn’t seem to care. Kali then noticed something was in her right hand. She looked down and saw a single white rose at her side. She began walking towards the casket, with the white rose still in her hand. Once she reached the casket she raised her right hand and dropped the white rose onto the top of the casket. It fell with the tiniest sound, which was clouded by the pounding rain, but yet the sound deafened Kali and it echoed in the back of her mind as she walked away from the casket, and the cemetery. A single tear slid down her cheek, but the rain soon washed it away just as it fell, erasing it from all existence…

Kali flung her eyes open and abruptly sprang into a sitting position. She was breathing hard and sweating all over. She felt like she was going to cry, she didn't know why the dream had affected her so badly. She threw the covers off of her and walked into the bathroom. Her hands were clutching either side of the sink, her dark brown head bowed as she breathed in and out. She pushed the handle of the sink forward, and water began to pour out of the faucet. She cupped her hands and put them under the faucet, letting the water fill her hands before she splashed her face with the water. She grabbed a towel and dried her face off as she looked into the mirror. Who had been the dead person in the dream? She pondered. She sighed as she looked at the clock. It was two in the morning. She walked into her living room and sunk down onto her couch. She couldn't go back to sleep.

Sydney woke up and looked around, not knowing where she was. It took her a few seconds to remember she was in the hospital. Her leg was stinging and her stomach felt like it was on fire. She took a few breaths. She noticed a small cup full of pills next to her bed, and a glass of water. She took the pills and popped them in her mouth swallowing them down with the water. She laid back down and closed her eyes again trying not to think about the similarities between the woman and Kali.

Mia opened the door to the hospital room and poked her head in. She saw Syd reading a book under a lamp and walked in, trying not to be too loud. When she looked up, Mia smiled.
"Hey, Syd. Feeling any better?" she asked.

"If you mean have the pills kicked in yet," Sydney said grinning and putting her book aside. "I'm feeling loads better, but they won't let me out yet..." she said rolling her eyes.

"Well, I just came in to check on you. I heard the mission was really rough, but Sark and our mystery woman didn't get the toxin." Mia tried to perk her up. "That's one good thing."

Mia laughed lightly. "Well," she started, "can you tell me anything about the mystery woman you fought? Or can you not talk about it to me? It's been itching on my mind for a long time."
