Yep, and so did I. I'll add you to the list. *here, have a virtual cooking* *with lots of icing on top! and chocolate chips! *
Well, among other things we're brainstorming for ideas for Frodo's birthday (Sept. 22nd), seeing as it's not too far off. I'll be gone on the actual day, but we're planning to make it an extended celebration. As far as i can remember the ideas we had were: write a poem/song or a paragraph or two explaining why you love him (can it be just...about him? I wrote another "meeting in dreams" one, and I'd like to contribute it to the celebration ), telling a Frodo banner idea to Forever (I think she said you could give her pics too, but didn't have to) since she makes them well--though i think anyone who wants could probably make their own, like i probably will, or you could ask me to make it if you want, though i will say i'm not quite as experienced yet as Forever. I enjoy it, though.
Btw, I'll eagerly await your opinion of my fanfic, Forever, and TT's on those of my friend. I can't remember much else that was said on the last page, and i'm using Quicki down there to reply, so...au revoir for now. (I'm learning French--hence the foreign phrase. )

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you so much, Eariel, for writing this fanfic. OMG I loved it so much. Couldn't get enough of it. And you can really take that as a compliment because I'm rather sceptical about, let's say, the concept of Fanfiction. Being rather a Tolkien purist, I'm afraid that people use their possibility to write something about LotR on their own to, well, write things that wouldn't have pleased Professor Tolkien. To somehow misinterpret the spirit of the book and add something that doesn't fit. I'm not only talking about that disgusting slash stuff, also about other things that seem less important.
So, if I say I liked a fanfic, you can indeed take that as a big compliment. Aw, it was so sweet. One can feel your love for Frodo and Sam through every word you write. Make sure that you let us know when you've got up your next fanfic.
I'll read the fanfic of your friend as soon as I can find the time. (Wow - there is a lot of stories to be read!)
Welcome pip! It's good to have you here.
And I'm glad to see you, Italrilde. I know very well how annoying parents who try to keep you off the computer can be
As for the celebration:
We had
-posting a Frodo pic
- a poem
- banner (we should decide what it will look like and how many and who's gonna make it/them)
aaand... I don't remember anything else.

^Cool, lol. I like making banners too, so maybe it could be an unlimited thing? (My feeling is, you can never have to many Frodo banners. Or poems. Or pics. ) Also, when should we start celebrating? Maybe the whole month of September--i like that idea. The thing is, i might not be here for the beginning (depending on when the beginning is) since i'll be gone through the 17-23 (i think) of this month. Btw, today is Ian Holm's birthday. When it's one of the lotr actors' birthdays, the whole day has sort of a 'celebratory' feel, if you know what i mean.
Thank you Forever. I'm glad you liked it. Especially if fanfiction doesn't entirely sit well with you. At first it didn't all do that with me, either--at least, if it did what you said or just seemed 'strange', somehow, like that might not really happen. My online friend's stories won me over though, at least to the kind of fanfics that she writes. Thus, i started writing them too. I hope you like hers, and once again, thank you and you're welcome.
Btw, TT, i think a while ago you asked if anyone else was going to "Bilbo's Birthday Ball", and we kind of got caught up in other things and no-one ever answered. I don't know whether i'm going or not (because i don't know what it is yet ) but what is that, just out of curiosity?

I suggest we start posting banners/poems/pics by Frodo's birthday and continue until the end of September. Everybody posts as much and what they want. So Eariel has the chance to write something after she has returned. What do you think about it?
I started reading the fanfics of your friend's, Eariel, and she's just stunning. Both of you will turn me into a fanfic-aholic if you continue like that

Hallo Everyone!
Sorry for the lack of post from me yesterday. I was veeeery busy. I dare say you all did just find without me for a day though.
Pip: Welcome! it's nice to see you here.
Eariel:Thanks so much for the virtual cookies! Delicious! *munches*
Forever: I know exaclty what you mean. I used to hate fanfic. but after reading Eariel's, I'm starting to like it. At least her kind of fanfic anyways.
Everybody: Hooray! I think we have some pretty amazing ideas here. And I think it's brilliant not to wait until his actual birthday, but rather to start as soon as possible. Slightly under a month is not enough to contain all our love for Frodo. So let the celebration begin!

You're quite welcome! Always happy to see new members!
You guys know something? I was scrutinizing my Elijah/Frodo banner, and looking at the picture of Frodo, I noticed something. His one eye (the one on our left, not his left) is scrunched slightly more than the other. now you guys look and tell me if I'm imagining it.
Speaking of banners, I can't make banners. I can however provide text and/or pictures for them, in case you guys run short of ideas. I do have an idea for text up my sleeve, in case you guys need it.

Oooh, let's hear it, in case one of us gets inspired.
I agree with TT about when to start...do you mind beginning right away, Forever? (We don't have to if you don't want to. ) And we'll continue straight on till Oct. 1...
You're right, TT, his left eye is more 'scrunched.' Am i just imagining it, or does he often seem to be looking 'at the camera' with one eye and sort of down and inwards, if you know what i mean, with the other? Just a thought. ('He' meaning Lij as well as Frodo. )
I'm very honored to have made you start to like fanfics when before you didn't, TT and Forever. I'm glad you liked my friends', btw!

Oooh oooh w00t! *dies* I love that smile, too! Yay! We're officially starting! lol Here's a poem (well, song) i wrote a few days back sort of for this celebration... Um, it might be kind of mushy-sounding, but...anyway, it's supposed to be where Frodo comes and 'wakes me up', and we go on a walk through the forest of Dreamland beneath the stars. It's sort of a companion to a different poem I wrote a long time ago, which i can post some time if you want. Here's this one, though. Hope you like it... (Btw, the chorus is Elvish, and translates to--hopefully --"In dreams/Come find me/Amidst the stars/I will fly with you.")
Starlit Dream
You wake me with your gentle touch--
I know I must be dreaming:
'Tis you my heart adores so much,
Sweet Elven starlight gleaming!
Azure-stained windows shine above,
And Morning fills your smile:
I rise to heed the voice I love--
"Come walk with me a while."
Chorus
Olorissen
A tuve nye--
Eldilissen
Wiluvan yo le!
We wander through the summer night,
Where flowers grace the forest:
But you, with brilliance sparkling bright,
Light up the dreaming darkness:
We whisper of the things we've seen--
For my heart walked by you ever:
Just you and me neath heaven's sheen,
Where Ear cannot sever.
You take a blossom from a bough,
My temple with it crowning,
And softly kiss my lowered brow--
But in your eyes I'm drowning:
Held captive, through the Dawn I soar,
By my only light enchanted:
But I loved you first when a Sage of Lore
Your tale to Earth recounted.
At length the Morn reflects your eyes--
Like dew my teardrops glisten:
You draw me close neath paling skies,
And to your voice I listen:
"We'll meet again beyond the West--
Don't cry, my nightingale:
I'll see you soon where Dawn is blest,
And joy will end our tale."

Eariel, your poem was absolutely, completely, 100%, incredibly, powerfully, brilliantly, wonderfully, amazing. Alright, so I imagined that the girl in the story was me. and it was amazing. I loved loved loved it.
Forever, I've never seen that picture before. I loved it almost as much as I loved Eariel's poem, which, as you can see is saying something.
Well, I've got to finish up here. I don't have much time, but I found something while looking for Frodo pictures that I thought might interest you guys. Frodo Baggins has a myspace! Who knew? I don't even have a myspace! But he does. (or someone pretending to be him anyway) Here is the link if you guys want to check it out. Lots of pictures, etc.
http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fu ... d=47648704
Enjoy everyone! More tomorrow! I promise!
And thank you both again. The poem and the picture made my day!

Aw, you're welcome! I was so honored by your compliment--it made my day, lol. I'm glad you imagined the girl as you--that's what it's for, as well as just, you know, expressing my own point of view of something (if that makes sense).
Man, my hand got tired from scrolling down that looong page of Frodopics! That person's myspace has the whole story of FotR, just using pics of him...that must have taken some work, lol. It was so nice to see his face over and over and over, though. lol
You still haven't said your banner idea...lol, don't feel bad though. I'd like to hear it, though, and Forever probably would, too. If both of us get inspired to make a banner, you might end up with two versions of what you wanted. (Of course, Pip if you did too that'd probably be fine. ) Anyway...
Here's a banner I made as a farewell present to the E/F- (as well as Frodo-) club. The lyrics are from one of my songs.
or if you can't see it...

Oh bother! Sorry! I hadn't even realized that!
Well...... looking more closely at it..... it's really more of an Elijah/Frodo thing than a Frodo thing, so perhaps I should save it til another time.
That's a gorgeous banner. Both the pictures and the text. We all seem to be on a Sam kick lately. But does have a lot to do with Frodo and he is so darn loveable.
But wait? Farewell present? No! You're not leaving! Oh. For your camping trip. I guess that's excuseable then. But just barely! I hope you have a lot of fun! We'll miss you.
Thank you then, since it is a present. I'll cherish it just as I cherish Forever's presents.
That person did have an outraegeous amount of pictures. I loved each and every one of them though. *sigh*
As part of the birthday celebration, I think this is the place where I post something Frodo related. So, here you are.
A funny one first: http://www.yeoldecuriosityshop.com/cata ... 532271.jpg
And now, a few serious ones: http://www.theargonath.cc/characters/fr ... attle3.jpg
http://www.theargonath.cc/characters/fr ... attle9.jpg http://www.theargonath.cc/characters/fr ... ttle11.jpg
There! How do you like those? Which one is your favorite? I think the last one is mine.
And, I know it's technically not Frodo, but I found a picture of Lij that I really liked and had never seen before, so I thought I'd post that as well!

Sorry for not posting the direct images, but they were just too big! Hope you guys liked them!

Honestly I really loved that first one you posted of Frodo. It's silly but of course there's nothing wrong with laughing. And I did like that last picture of Elijah as well. Thanks so much for sharing those.
