Where'd you dig up that old fossil?
Wonderful girl! Instead of wanting to kill her, I'm beginning to like her!
"If we rescue her, the reward will be...."
"What?"
"Well, more wealth than you can imagine!"
"I dunno, I can imagine quite a lot."

From the "Chronicles of Narnia"...
"Fox: This is what becomes of those who cross the witch. Mr. Beaver: You take one more step, traitor, and I'll chew you to splinters! Fox: Relax. I'm one of the good guys. Mr. Beaver: Yeah? Well, you look an awful lot like one of the bad ones. Fox: An unfortunate family resemblance. But we can argue breeding later. Right now we've got to move."

lol I love that Hobbit moment in the movie, too! My favorite quote for today was a child talking about his grandparents... he didn't know the word "retired" so he said another "r" word in it's place:
"My grandparents used to live here, but since my grandpa got retarted, they moved to Florida. ....my grandma says if I work hard I can be retarded like grandpa one day!"

We quoted Monty Python and the Holy Grail in History class today. It was awesome.
And how could people back then tell who were witches?

lol...still love reading through some of these quotes. ok, today's for me is from Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, my family was watching it and broke out laughing at this part...
"Professor Snape: Read it. Harry: "Messrs. Mooney, Wormtail, Padfoot, and Prongs, offer their compliments to Professor Snape and..." Professor Snape: Go on. Harry: "... and request that he keep his abnormally large nose out of other people's business."

I love Notting Hill although I find Hugh Grant very annoying most of the time. Grr!
Another good one:

more good quotes funny and thoughtful, too...thanks all! Here's one been on my mind lately... "A gem is not polished without rubbing, nor a man perfected without trials. -Chinese Proverb" Kind of a reminder that tough times make us who we are sometimes...sometimes making us better people, elves, hobbits, and dwarves for it. ...and a funny one for you... "Do not remove a fly from your friend's forehead with a hatchet.- Chinese Proverb"
