I know, Hitler should have taken a hint from Napoleon and stayed out of Russia.

Not necessarely(sp?), you see what I have come to believe that the main reason of the fall of nazi germany was Hitler himself as he was more of looking at his dreams than at the strategies. I might be wrong yet Hitler did make terrible decisions concerning his armies, stalingrad I think was a mistake.

That is because he is an arrogant Turd-head that has to dominate all to make up for his own short-comings.

Yeah I know, if he hadn't of been making the descisions militarily who knows what would have happened...I heard a long time ago that he was on some medications towards the end of the war that made him not think clearly but I dunno if that's true.

Watch the movie Der Untergang basing on the expriences of hitlers secretary that survived from the bunker, that movie gives the right image I believe. He wasn`t on meds, but he was f`ed up

Hi all!

Quick going back to the swastika/cross. Actually, they both date back to ancient Babylon. The origin is in ancient Mesopotiamian worship of a father, mother, son trilogy. Later, it was changed by Nimrod and became a Mother/Son cult of Semmiramus and Tammuz. Tammuz would have various symbols associated with him that you see repeatedly in history, and even unto this day. It has various forms: the amhk, swastika, etc. But they all go back to ancient Babylon.

Hehe! Just learned that in history class. WHEE!

I'm happy for you, Lothril. ;)

Hilter obviously did't study his history nor geography very well when he invaded Russia.

I hate it when leaders repeat history, especially when it stupid and sure to fail, like those before them.

Bush 2 did that... :annoyed2:

You know when Hitler invaded Russia he didn`t look at history really except the near past in some years, in world war I germans beat the russians and now in WW2 germans had ran over the french almost like that. He was going to make history instead of being afraid of it, if he had been afraid he could have just waited for bloody russia to attack him first or the allies...

Bush created vietnam 2 so to speak :D sad, but true... I mean the russians had their own vietnam(when they were the soviet union) in Afghanistan.

In Vietnam, hundreds, maybe even thousends of soldiers, were dying a week. In the Iraqi War, 2 or 3 die a week. Not much of a comparison, really.

As for Bush 2 and his stupidity, I was referring to when his father went over there and didn't go into Iraq because there was no way out. So what did his son do? Go into Iraq. The "expedition" was suppose to take a few weeks, we STILL aren't out of there. Personally, I can't wait for 2008 (for multiple reasons) when I can vote.

Ahh yes but that topic may be falling too far under politics and we don't want to offend any Bush fans.

It's interesting that Germany didn't want a two front war and yet they created one.....or maybe that was WWI they didn't want a two front war...oh dear my I'm getting my wars mixed up again :confuzzled: .

In WW1 they were forced into a two front war yet in WW2 as they attacked russia they didn`y expect a two front war because, if russia would have crumbled germans might have been able to force the british into a peace.

World History, that is 10th grade, right? That is how is is at my school, at least. I'm taking AP US History right now and wow! it is so amazing! I love it! I went from the bottom and now I am at the top. It feels great, let me tell you. US History is pretty interesting. We getting to the Revolution, not quite there, though. That's next week's chapter I think.
