Scarlett raced down the corridor, teetering precariously on her heels, "Serius?" she muttered to herself, "Where is he? I want to ask him to the ball." she said turning around hastily. "Ahh, Serius," she said turning rather red. "Would you like to accompany me to the ball?" she asked flitting her eyes, and flirting.

James walked along with Sirius when Scarlett walked toward them. He heard her ask Sirius to the ball and James turn toward him looking expectantly at him, with a slight grin on his face.

Lily Evans walked swiftly up the hall, her shoes echoing in the mostly-empty corridors. She saw a group of three up ahead and fought the urge to make a U-turn - she couldn't stand James or Sirius, but she would look chicken to turn back. Avoiding their eyes, she continued her progress down the corridor toward them, hoping fervently that James didn't do anything stupid.

Sirius was, to say the very least, startled at Scarlett's audacity, and seeing the grin on James' face, he very nearly scowled. "Uh..sure." he finally said, after pausing a moment to think.

Sirius barely resisted the urge to tell James to shut up, and merely grumbled something and folded his arms as he walked off.
