" Yeah i'll go check it out as soon as i get back to the ranch." said Hannah. She walked along side Hailey for a bit and then they trotted their way back to the ranch.
She went inside the office after untacking her horse and looked at the picture. She was amazed, it did look exactly like Hailey and Universe.

Hailey untacked Granit and brushed her down, then led her to the east pasture. She started mucking out the stalls when she saw a light coming from the hayloft. She climbed the latter to the hayloft, and when she reached the top and looked in, there was nothing there. Getting up into the hayloft, she noticed something, there was a space between two haybales that looked really old. She reached between them and brought out a leather covered journal.
"strange..." Hailey mumbled as she crossed the yard to the office, carrying the journal.
"this all started happening when I brought Universe here..."

Hannah walked out of the office and let her horses out in the pasture. She went to much their stalls out when she saw Hailey half in the hayloft. She asked what was wrong.

Hailey opened it, and read a bit of the first page.
"Seems to be someone named Elizabeth! Thats my... great-great-grandmother's name... or is it great-great-great-grandmother?"

Hannah watched hailey read th diary and the look on her face was of happiness and excitement as if she was unlocking a new mystery every page she turned.

Hailey looked up from the journal to Hannah.
"Theres going to be a bon-fire tonight out in the Southern pasture. Your welcome to come if you want to."
she smiled and walked into the office, and put the journal in a drawer in the computer desk.
Hailey went back out to the barn, and took out the redroan and bay mares she had bought at the auction with the grey stallion. She mounted her horse, Granit, and worked on them going around the round pen...
