Val sat outside in the palace garden of Lemrence. Tear streaks could be seen on her tanned skin. How could life have changed so fast? One minute she thought she was just a servant to the king of Acmair. Now people are saying she might be the princess of Acmair’s greatest enemy. She wasn’t sure if she believed that what they say might be true as well. She had been having nightmares lately, and they were getting worse.

Val looked up hearing foot steps. She managed to smile at Drake, but she knew it wasn't believable. "Hello Drake," she said once he got closer.
