(Speeding things up a little..)

Nearly two hours after escaping the orcs, the lights of the Palace of Mirkwood were finally seen in the distance. It took only five minutes from there to reach the Palace itself, though from there, they had to slip in through a side gate, because the main gate had been barricaded for some weeks now. Once inside, Aradan saw Aranel to the healing wing to have the arrow wound treated, and he left the others waiting in one of the libraries, since he had to go talk to his father.

Turwaithiel whispered an prayer to Aranel for an quick healing and watched Aradan leave and walked over to the window, her eyes closed, her mind deep in thought. Orcs...poisened arrows...missing lady....her mind filled with recent events and unfortunate turn-outs. She sighed heavily and looked at the trees, the leaves starting to fall in the wind.

Meleth sat, absently flipping the pages of a book and twisting a strand of hair around her finger.

Tur turned towards Meleth. "I don't feel right, mellon." She said, leaning against the window. "I feel....Ugh...like I'm being watched, or something."

Meleth looked up. "Relax - who could be watching us here?" She leaned an elbow on the arm of her chair. "As soon as Aradan's back we can figure out a plan of action."

She sighed again, axtious. "I just hate....waiting....but it is the best way to handle this."

A few moments later, Aradan finally came back, looking tired, as if he had just dealt with something that wore him out..and the 'conversation' with his father actually had done just that.

"Now that that's out of the way.."

"Indeed," said Meleth, and rose. "Any idea where we need to look next?"

After a notable pause, Aradan stated, "Dol Goldur."

Meleth looked incredulous. "You jest," she said, folding her arms across her chest. "We cannot go there alone!"

"I jest not." Aradan said seriously. "And we won't be going alone."

Turwaithiel raised an eyebrow. "And whom will be willing to come with us, I wonder?"

"There are some willing here, worry not." Aradan said simply. "But we'll be staying the night here, at least..and depart at dawn."

"Guess so. But you are tired, mellon, I can see it. We can find our rooms. Go rest." Her eyes where kind but her voice was firm. She put on hand on his shoulder in comfort, smiling, remembering her old feelings for Aradan many long years ago at there first meeting. They hadn't completely gone away.
