Elly got home and went upstairs to take a shower. After she was done, she got changed into her pajamas and went downstairs to watch tv.

After grooming Dragon's and Universe's stall, Hailey leaned against the barn door waiting for her dad to pick her up, when her cell phone rang.
"Hello?"
"Hey, it's dad!"
"hey dad. Whats going on?"
"Um... I'll be staying late at the office... do you think you can find a different ride home?"
"um... sure dad!"
there was a *click* and Hailey put her phone away.
Sighing she leaned back against the barn, she had lied, she really didn't have a way home...

Elly changed into work jeans and paddock boots. She drove back to the stable, and pulled in.
There was going to be a Thoroughbred mare trailered in as a jumping prospect for either Elly or her lesson kids to jump. A large silver trailer (neatly polished) looked like it had just been hauled and a horse was being unloaded. Elly walked over and saw a middle-aged woman leading a horse from the trailer.
"Hi, I'm Elly Thompson." Elly introduced herself and walked over to the mare.
"Jessica Reynolds, nice to meet you. This here is Ruthless." The lady said and gave the mare a pat.
Elly looked the mare over. She was beautiful, a nicely groomed bay with four white socks and a blaze to top it. Her eyes were almond shaped, very intelligent, and Elly could tell she had potential.
"Ruthless has been jumped up to three feet or so, what I've seen of her." Jessica said and handed Ruthless to Elly. "She's all yours, but I would like to see where she is staying." Jessica said, a concerned look on her face.
"O.K." Elly smiled and led Ruthless to the front stable block. A few stalls down from Starlight was an empty stall that had just been bedded and cleaned. Elly halted Ruthless and motioned her arm to the stall.
"That will do," Jessica said. "Good luck with her." Jessica walked away.
"Ruthless, you're going to love it here." Elly smiled and put her in her new stall. She checked on Starlight again and went over to her car to go home. She saw a girl, and instantly recognized it as Hailey. She walked over.
"It's kind of late, don't you think? Do you have a ride?" Elly asked her.

Kayden took Diesel on a qucik trail before she cooled him off. She went back to the barn and untacked him, putting all her tack in her tack trunk. She walked Diesel over to the wash racks and hosed him off. She led him out to the hot walker and clipped him on. She turned it on and sat on the rail to watch her horse.

"Of course, hop in." Elly smiled and opened her truck door for Hailey. She got into the driver's seat and started the car. She pulled out of Essex and got out on the road and looked at the neon digits of her clock. It said 9:34.
"It's pretty late," Elly commented, breaking the silence.

Once Hannah was at home she went upstairs and checked her computer for any messages. There were none. She then hopped in the shower and put her pajamas on. She watched a movie and went to bed.

The next morning she got ready for a day at the stables and drove to Essex. She needed to work on the up coming competition with Shadow.

Elly woke up the next morning. She looked outside her window. It wasn't sunny, like she'd hoped, but cold and gray. She put on a tank top with a sweatshirt on top, and changed into tan breeches. She ahd a lot of work ahead of her. She got into her car and drove to Essex.

Hailey woke up late, like 10 and quidkley dressed in leggings, knee high boots, and a bright orange t-shirt. She ran down to the garage and stopped. "Thank you dad!" It came with a red helmet with blue flames. Hailey put carrots in her pocket and put on the helmet and rode the motorcycle out of the driveway to Essex.

When she got there she parked further away from the barn and field as not to spook the horses...

Hannah was working with Shadow out in the field when she saw a motorcycle pull into a small far away ish part of the barn. Shadow was interested but he didn't spook. She could vaguely see who it was it looked like Hailey. She got her own bike, thats soo cool! Hannah thought.

Hannah and shadow went back to training and they rested a bit before going back to the stables.

Hailey took off the motorcycle helmet and set in on the bike. She walked over to the field she had left her horses in last night. Whistling, the two stallions trotted over to her. Hailey clipped a lead rope to Universe's blue halter and led him out of the field and to some cross ties. She groomed him, and braided his mane for the fun of it.

Next she tacked him up in an english saddle, briddle, and martingale, and led him to a jumping arena with advanced jumps set up. Hailey let Universe stand in one corner while she set up a course. It consisted of ten jumps. Two water jumps with makeshift water, a wall, three cross jumps, and four cross poles. Each jump was 3 to 3.5 feet high.

Hailey mounted with the help of the fence, and headed twad the first jump, the first cross jump...

Elly led Starlight out of her stall and tacked her up. She did up the girth again before she mounted and strapped the buckle of her IRH helmet. She walked Starlight to the jumping arena. The jumps were set at low crosspoles and panels. Elly warmed up and then made a course in her head.

Kayden stopped the hotwalker when Diesel was completely dry. She unhooked him and led him back to his stall where a scoop of equine adult feed and a little bit of swee feed was waiting for him. She locked up her tack trunk and headed to her dark blue Toyota Corolla. She opened the driver's door and got in. She started the car and pulled out of the stables driveway and headed home.

Hannah and Shadow got back to the stables where she hooked him up to some cross-ties and untacked and groomed him. She then let him out to roll around n the dirt and graze. He worked pretty hard today.

Hannah mucked out his stall and gave him his second feed and fresh water. She went to go file some paperwork she kept inthe office for all the different shows she was in and the paperwork she had to fill out. She got there sat at the table and started putting old competitions in piles and such and then put them away in a filng cabinet of her own.

Haile finnished the course with good time, and a perfect run. After a few more runs, Universe was sweating with persperation, so Hailey dismounted, and led him to the cross-ties, groomed him, and cleaned out his stall while he waited in the pasture...

Elly piacked up the canter and circled. She took the the inside line for three strides. Over both jumpss, Starlight got her spot perfectly. Elly cantered on the left lead and took the line down with three collected strides before the 1 stride combination. Starlight took off to early and Elly readjusted their stride. Starlight made a deal of effort to get over the low oxer and continued on the rail to the other inside line. This time, Starlight got both of her spots and they headd to the line down on their right lead. Starlight rushed and got a short spot, sending the poles off the cups. Elly groaned and rebalanced Starlight, holding her back so they'd get a good spot over he oxer. Starlight longed but overjumped and they barely cleared it.
"Good girl," Elly said. Although she was satisfied enough, Elly knew that the previous course would knock them right out of placing in the show. Elly patted Starlight anyway and tried it again.
