Val looked down at her hands. "Everyone keeps saying that I'm this Svetlana. That I'm princess of Acmair's most hated enemy. I didn't think they could be right but..." her voice trailed off as she looked to another part of the garden.

"Val...Val..." a younger voice could be heard calling faintly. It sounded slightly worried, increasingly so as it drew nearer. A flushed servant girl with white-blonde hair and dark skin rounded a corner and looked relieved. "Oh, Val, I need - " she stopped mid-sentence and looked at Drake, noticing him for the first time. "Oh dear, I'm sorry! I didn't mean to interrupt!"

Layien walked around the forest, her bow in her hand as she crept low and ran quickly. She heard no gaurds behind her, finally, and she reached the palace where her greatest friend from many years ago stayed. She reached the window, clutching her arm trying to keep the blood from coming out to quickly, and whispered, "Lady Val, are you there?"
