You know I have wondered about that name... because... THERE NEVER WAS A PALANTIR IN ANGMAR Sorry if I am ruining the fun, but its true..... to my knowledge, there were 7 of them, one in orthanc, one that was in osgiliath was lost, the ithillien stone was stolen by Sauron and was lost in the fall of Barad Dur, the stones of Anuminas & Amon sûl were lost with Arvedui to the bottom of the bay of Forochel. One of the stones was taken to the west with the ringbearers ship that was in the tower hills and the arnor stone to my knowledge is in Gondor(during the third and the fourth ages) (or am I missing something?)
only seven were brought to middle earth by elendil
PS. I Know I am a Bastar... D

But we can pretend there was an eighth one, can't we? I mean, isn't that what RPing is for? To explore what could have happened and have fun with it?
Come on, don't be a spoilsport, so what if we created an eighth palantir in Angmar! Tolkien's world was so precise and well-documented that it's hard to come up with a good idea that doesn't clash with some aspect of his history.
