I just got this idea and thought it might get some cool replies.

Mine would probably be Elizabeth Bennet, from Pride & Prejudice.

Ooh, interesting topic!

Let's see, Lizzy. Also Lizzie Hexam from Our Mutual Friend. Anne Shirley. Frodo and Aragorn. Anne Eliot from Persuasion.

I can identify myself as Howard Roark from the Fountainhead. Coincendentally, my friend likes John Galt in Atlas Shrugged.

A lot of them, Elizabeth Bennet from Pride and Prejudice possibly, Nymphadora Tonks from Harry Potter, Susan Pevensie from Chronicles of Narnia, and maybe some more

Off the top of my head, probably Edmund Pevensie from the Chronicles of Narnia and probably like many of you have said, Lizzy Bennet from P&P.

I always find this such a hard question because I read too much - and I can remember reading books a few years ago and really identifying with the characters then, but I'm not sure if I would now. (so I'd have to go back and reread the book).
I'd have to definately say Lucy from The Chronicles of Narnia, Emily from the Emily books by LM Montgomery, Henni from The Ballad of Cauldron Bay and Abigail from Playing Beatie Bow.
I also have moments when I quite a bit like Elspeth from the Obernewtyn Chronicles.

Argh, this is really hard...

I would say: Elizabeth from Pride and Prejudice, and Eowyn from LotR. Simple answers, perhaps, but true nonetheless.

I don't know why but I identified a lot with Nadine's character from Stephen King's The Stand. I felt so sorry for her.

I also identify myself as a hybrid between Sirius Black and Remus Lupin.
