Chapter One - The Mysterious PM

Aramel Elyanwë logged onto her favorite internet site, Arwen-Undomiel.com where she was known as The Pirate-Obsessed A-U Gentlewoman to all of her friends. A private message was waiting in the half-full inbox and the subject read, ‘You’ve been selected for Survivor - Fiji!’

With a smirk plastered on her face, Aramel figured it was probably a PM from her equally crazy friend, Haldir o Lorien. Her hazel eyes darted over to the ‘from’ column and noticed the name wasn’t Haldir’s. It was someone
named Shadow Runner...someone she’d never seen on the site before...

Must be a new member, Aramel thought, and opened the message.

You’ve been selected to appear on Survivor - Fiji! You and a few others will appear on a future episode if you decide to travel to Fiji and stay with us for two months. The grand prize is $1, 000, 000!

Aramel pondered the message for a few moments before another PM was sent to her inbox from her friend and wonderful graphic maker, Still Flying.

Hey Aramel,
Did you just get a strange PM from someone named Shadow Runner asking if you want to come on a show called ‘Survivor - Fiji’?

Aramel hit the reply link and began to type.

Yeah, do you think we should enter?

The PM was sent back to Still Flying.


Maybe...

Oh, sure, why not?

With a deep breath, Aramel hit the link, half expecting some horrible computer virus to take over.

Instead she was taken to a small website with a red and black layout. The page read, ‘Welcome! If you have received this link from Shadow Runner, then you have been selected to join us on the latest episode of Survivor, which is taking place in the Islands of Fiji. Come and join us!'
