Nessa stood up, swaying a little and leaning heavily on a slender tree. She watched the others carry Jimmy and clenched her teeth against the pain in her ankle.

Without warning, the ground began rumbling. Alex dropped Jimmy unceremoniously back into the mud. "What the hell was that?"
A throaty bellow echoed through the jungle, followed by what sounded like a mountain being dropped on the ground.

Mark's head twisted to look behind himself. His blue eyes shifted back and forth....up and down.......and every which way. "Uh..." he said shakily, "I think we should get out of here guys."
He noticed that Nessa was going to have a hard time running back to their hiding spot so he hobbled his way toward her and helped her along. "Come on! Hurry!" he shouted.

"OW!" Jimmy yelled as he hit the mud puddle painfully, landing on his face.
He tried to move out of it, but still found that he couldn't move at all, and actually the numbing had grown worse.

"No," Nessa replied, shaking her head violently. "Get Jimmy. I'll manage." She judged the distance between herself and the cave and managed to hobble most of it before stumbling to her knees. She half-crawled inside and sat against the wall, panting and sweaty, her face grey with pain.

Mark obeyed Nessa like any normal frightened child would. He hopped over to Jimmy's limp body and tugged on his foot. The injured wrist of Mark, only allowed him to use one hand to pull Jimmy. He grunted as he tried to help but Jimmy was far bigger and far more heavier than Mark himself. "I can't move you! You're too heavy!" Mark shouted with scared face.

"Mark.. Just run!" Chris shouted. He grabbed Jimmy again by the arms and started to drag him towards the cave. His face grew pale of effort as he ignored the aching pain of his shoulder. "Alex? Little help here please!"

Without question, Mark dashed off for the cave. His eyes were wide with fear as he heard the rumbling growing louder and louder. While running, he looked back over his shoulder at the others, and then tripped over a large stone. He scraped his jeans at the knees but he scrambled up and continued to run for the cave.

Alex obligingly helped haul Jimmy up. Meanwhile, behind him, the rumble became the thunder of what sounded like many heavy things banging on the earth.
In this case, it sounded like rather large dinosaurs running.
Alex risked one glance behind him and saw, towering above the treetops, an entire herd of brachiosaurs thundering their way.

Jimmy could see the ground below him. He saw various pebbles vibrate and slowly slide across the ground.
He gulped and muttered, "Man, this must not be good."

Mark eventually made it to the cave, but he did not go inside because near the entrance were those poisonous snakes again!!! He gasped and stopped dead in his tracks. Backing away slowly, he looked to see if the others were coming.

"Screw the snakes! Screw the dinosaurs! Screw my life!" Alex shouted, dumping Jimmy back on the ground and searching about frantically for another hiding place. He found one in a couple of bushes a few feet away from the cave. He dove in, dragging Jimmy along with him.

((Hmm, this is a dilemma, with Nessa currently IN this snake-infested cave...let's see...kay, scratch that last post then...))
Nessa limped after them, using trees to steady herself. It was slow going, with only one good foot, and she had to work quite hard to quell the terror she felt at the dinosuars, which were coming ever closer. "They seemed so cool in Jurassic Park!" she muttered to herself.

Alex dropped Jimmy and caught sight of Nessa struggling towards them. On capricious - and rather idiotic - impulse, he ran out to help her. He'd just reached her when the herd of brachiosaurs literally exploded from the jungle.
He and Nessa were trapped in their path.
