Hi can I join? Galadriel is my favorite character in the Lord of the Rings, because she has this air about her, she's noble and wise, but she tries to help in whatever way she can, in the Silmarillion too. It's hard to explain her.
My favorite quote of hers is Namárië, the song she sings when the Fellowship leaves Lórien.
Quote: Ai! laurië lantar lassi súrinen, yéni únótimë ve rámar aldaron! Yéni ve lintë yuldar avánier mi oromardi lisse-miruvóreva Andúnë pella, Vardo tellumar nu luini yassen tintilar i eleni ómaryo airetári-lÃrinen.
SÃ man i yulma nin enquantuva?
An sà Tintallë Varda Oiolossëo ve fanyar máryat Elentári ortanë, ar ilyë tier undulávë lumbulë; ar sindanóriello caita mornië i falmalinnar imbë met, ar hÃsië untúpa Calaciryo mÃri oialë. Sà vanwa ná, Rómello vanwa, Valimar!
Namárië! Nai hiruvalyë Valimar. Nai elyë hiruva. Namárië!
Ah! like gold fall the leaves in the wind, long years numberless as the wings of trees! The years have passed like swift draughts of the sweet mead in the lofty halls beyond the West, beneath the blue vaults of Varda wherein the stars tremble in the song of her voice, holy and queenly. Who now shall refill the cup for me? For now the Kindler, Varda, the Queen of the Stars, from Mount Everwhite has uplifted her hands like clouds, and all paths are drowned deep in shadow; and out oof a grey country darkness lies on the foaming waves between us, and mist covers the jewels of Calacirya for ever. Now lost, lost to those from the East is Valimar! Farewell! Maybe thou shalt find Valimar! Maybe even thou shalt find it. Farewell!

Thanks Arien. Yeah it would have been such a beautiful compositio with Howard Shore composing. I have never heard Cate sing though. What does it sound like? Her speaking voice though is beautiful- rich and melodious so I imagine she can sing a bit

Was Cate Blanchett really into the role of Galadriel? It seemed so in the movie, but on the One-ring.com she said she did it for the ears....

lol, yes, I think that means she was. She said she had always wanted to be Galadriel. I think she said that as a joke.

Yes, it's gorgeous and I didn't believe it was Liv at first but you can tell. She's got a gorgeous voice.
