As Trosky gave a though response to his threat, Rocco raised an eyebrow and listened men's words carefully as he went. "We will see about that agent crap". He watched Trosky went full throtthle away.

(We are political enemies and were imprisoned, tortured, genetically modified...after all shaving is a form of torture. Maybe along the journey, our hair could grow back.)
Alan heard a rustle in the forest and lifted his hand for silence. He gathered a bunch of dry brush and after arranging them in a pattern, took out a lighter he stole and set it on fire. "Run!" he cried over the roar of the fire. He didn't bother to look at the flames as they devasted the forest.

Gabriel watched Alan as he set a fire. He turned and ran, following Alan.

Merrina followed, pausing to glance behind them. Her vivid blue eyes reflected the spreading fire, and she hesitated very slightly - it seemed wrong to cause such destruction only for them. Then she caught sight of the polished barrel of a gun, glinting. She turned and went after the others, her cradling her injured arm.

Alan signalled the band, recommending them to go into the woods to evade the soldiers. As they navigated their way into the forest, he heard a sharp whistle of a suppressed sniper rifle. He moved his head at the last minute, for the bullet hit the tree behind him. "Sniper fire," he cried to the elves. He guessed they were hidden the trees, somewhere he couldn't see or hit them. He ran towards the base of the trees, figuring out where they were based by the noise of the guns.

Merrina hesitated, not knowing which way to run, and eventually hurried after Alan as another bullet narrowly missed her, not knowing what else to do. She felt suffocated - they had to get out of these woods.

Gabriel darted in a different direction-hopefully it would confuse the snipers a bit. He stood underneath another tree, making sure he could still see the other Elves.

Alan hissed in pain as a bullet hit his shoulder. Praying it didn't hit any major blood vessels, he found the tree where one of the snipers hid in. He climbed it. As he did, he got shot again in the arm. Once again he hissed but continued upward. He finally reached the top, wrestled with the sniper, and send him flying to his death. He took the sniper rifle and aimed for the sniper who was taking aim for an Elf. He fired, watching as the sniper cry before he fell to his doom.

Merrina whirled as a body hit the ground behind her with an ominous thud, his rifle spiraling through the air to land a few feet away. Searching the treetops, she managed a glimpse of Alan and drew a long, shuddering breath as she realized the sniper had been aiming at her. Gingerly picking up the rifle, she melted into the shadows and hoped fervently that the others were all right.

Shaniya ran farther into the woods, her adrenaline motivating her. She stopped and took several deep breaths before retracing her steps, hidden in the shadows, looking for the other Elves.

Alan climbed a tree, dissapearing from Gabriel's view. He heard more muffled shots, then a dull thud. The gunfire stopped. Were there anymore snipers? He didn't move, waiting for any signs it was safe to move.

Cat follows them away from the fire, ducking and weacing through the forest. She comes up behind a man with a sniper-rifle, and brings her elbow smashing down on the back of his head. As he falls, she catches the gun and aims it up at another sniper taking aim at Alan in the tree. A shot rings out and the man falls. A slight smirk slides across her face......

Soon all the snipers were brought down, leaving the Elves alone in the burning forest. He regretted that he had to cause so much destruction, but it was necessary. He climbed down until he reached five feet from the ground, where he dropped down. He winced as the bullets proved to be most painful. He took out a twezzars froom his medical kit and pulled out both bullets. He then turned around to make sure the Elves were still there.

"Are they all gone?" came a whispered inquiry from Merrina, who still crouched, almost invisible, by the roots of an ancient tree. And then, a few seconds later - "Are you all right?"

"We continue our trip," Alan said as he gave Cat a jacket. "We will have to stay under the forest until we can reach a city. Once we are in the city, we can "pick up" supplies and possibly find transportation."
