As Lucy sat up, she remembered the sadness she had felt when she heard that grandma Kim had gone to heaven. She did not want to look at the bed where her grandma's body was laying. It scared her.
Her brown eyes fixed onto Edward's shape across the room. Without hesitation, she ran over to him and wrapped her small arms around his skinny rubbery waist. He was the closest thing she had....that reminded her of grandma Kim. Sobbing, she held on tightly to him with all her might.
(UH...where's everyone else??? Anyone else going to pose???)

Kim looked down at her mother, she had had such a good life, enjoying every second, and most of all the last.....she looked where lucy had edward by the waist, she came near them and hugged them both, clutching her daughter's hand and edward'd forearm

Edward's heart stopped. A child had never hugged him before, and he was not accustomed to the feeling. He had only been hugged once before, and that had been with Kim. Not even his inventor had hugged him.
It felt as though Lucy hugged Edward, as if he were a huge, cold, leather and plastic teddy bear.
Timothy suddenly said a curse when he saw Lucy and his wife hugging onto Edward. He stood up quickly and pulled the mother and her child off. Edward's hands were razor sharp, and horribly dangerous for a child to be close to.
"Lucy, Lucy!" Timothy yelled loudly, as she pealed the small girl off, "He's dangerous, honey! Don't get close to him! You too Katherine!"
Timothy was a demanding husband, and Katherine would always understand his wishes. After Lucy was placed aside he glared at the man named 'Edward'. "You out! Out now!"
Edward stiffened as Timothy's sturdy arms yanked him out of the room.
Edward looked at Timothy, deeply hurt, as the door was slammed in his face with a loud boom...

Lucy did not say a word as all this drama happened. She was much too frightened of her father's angry voice.
She watched helplessly as poor Edward was forced out of the room. Tears stung her eyes and she swallowed hard seeing Edward's sad face....before the door was slammed in it.
Lucy's big brown eyes stared up at her father when he walked back toward Kim's bed. When he and her mother were not looking, she silently slipped out of the room unnoticed.

There alone in the dark waiting room was poor Edward sitting in the shadows. The morning sun had not risen yet.
He heard the door shut and he lifted his head, inch by inch, his eyes climbing up to Lucy's.
One's heart would've snapped if one saw the cutting, sour, and heartrending gloom that was being held in those two glass black orbs called his eyes. He looked different somehow...he wasn't older or sadder, but he looked like a part of him was gone, like a missing piece to a jigsaw puzzle.
Edward watched Lucy come and sit next to him with dead, sorrowful eyes.

Lucy held on tightly to Edward's arm and rested her brown locks on it. She tried not to cry but the tears came anyway. They landed on Edward's leathery legs with a splat.
With a quiet shakey voice, Lucy asked, "Are you sad to Edward?" She sniffed and whimpered. "I'm going to miss grandma....." she looked up into his face helpless...hoping that Edward would now be her security.

Edward lowered his head again, soberly.
He didn't say a word, he only looked at her hand grabbing onto his arm, and then he gazed down to the blue and white tiled floor. He sighed, the sound of tears and tame sadness ringing in his sweet breath. He wished with all his heart that he could hug Lucy right now, or, he thought, he would be eternally happy by just shedding a real, watery tear. Yet both were impossible, and Edward knew it.

"Grandma told me your story all the time. It was always my favorite before bedtime," she smiled a little and stared at Edward's sad face.
Rubbing his rubbery arm, she said, "Don't be sad Edward....we have eachother now. I will take care of you."
She continued to stare and then asked, "Did you love my grandma Kim? She loved you a lot!"

Edward's black eyes were hidden under his black hair. His thin lips were still shut together, but he listened to every word the little flower said to him.
He always wondered what it would be like to cry. Was it like bleeding? If it was, then he wasn't missing anything. He knew what pain was like. But, Edward wasn't perfectly clear on what it felt like, and he had never had the courage to ask someone. He had always imagined crying as taking the pain inside of a person and making it flow outside, so that it would never come back. He wanted to cry.

Lucy waited for Edward's answer but it never came. She sighed and placed Edward's arm around her shoulder. Scooting closer to his side, she wrapped her small arms around his waist again.
"You know what, Edward....it's ok to cry. Grandma Kim told me that all the time. She was always right." She then patted Edward's back, as if to encourage him to cry.

The pale, sorrowful face of Edward Scissorhand's looked own upon the little flower.
The dark eyes that were settled into his skull, looked to blink with pain. The black plastic looking hair shivered in the cold waiting room.

Katherine looked at her husband outraged "what is wrong! dont you see this is a highly emotional time for your daughter!? and poor edward as well!!! he is not a monster timothy, he isnt!" she looked into his eyes, "our daughter needs something to hold on to, and that poor man needs all the love he can get..." she said firmly

Lucy looked up to Edward with pitiful eyes and said, "Yes you can. Don't be embarrassed. I've been crying too. We can both cry together." She hugged him tighter.

Timothy's face pulled up in pure digust. "A man? How can you even call him that? He's not even human!" He cursed in frustration, and turned away from Katherine's face, and pushed open the door towards the waiting room.
"Lucy, up, we're leaving..." he stomped over towards his daughter, and harshly yanked her away from Edward.
Edward stared up sadly at Timothy. This man reminded poor Edward of Jim, the man he had killed. Timothy was hurting Lucy, just as Jim had hurt Kim...

Lucy's hands quickly were released from Edward's waist as they make a squeeking sound. She looked back at Edward with sad eyes and pulled against her father. "Daddy! Stop! I want to stay with Edward! STOP IT!" Tears filled her eyes with sadness and anger.

katherine went after her husband and took him firmly by the arm and pulled him back "tim, it is you right know who is acting like a monster!! and no one else! edward does not wish to hurt anyone, he is coming to our house, we are to give him shelter" she said fiercely
