I really don't want to be nasty, guys (and girls) but this really is NOT a topic for the club! Sorry

Gah! Is mine the hot pink everyone is speaking of? I'm not a huge fan of pink myself, but I thought this was more of a reddish purple... :confused2:

^They may be talking about Estë's colour too. Personally I have no problem with either of them. :)

We're sort of lacking in a topic right, so until someone comes up with something good I think it's okay that we're talking about this. I always thought the point of this club was to talk with the guys and vice versa. I think it's okay if we stray from topic everyone once in a while.

What is the 'topic'? This is just a place for casual conversation, I thought. :) We don't have to constantly talk about the opposite sex, do we?

Aye. I've always thought that we could talk casually every once in a while.

^Sure, welcome!

I've just returned from the Revolve Tour. The basic definition of it is that it's a Christian tour for girls. It was loads of fun.
But anyway, there was a guy speaker there [along with Laura Wilcinson and another Olympic diver, and tons of other cool people] who's name was Chad. He was there basically to talk to us about guys.

The one thing that stuck out to me most, was what he said about guys viewing girls as girls wanted to be viewed, "You're seen as either a target or a treasure."

And I just thought about that for minute...

He then used this anology:
Give a guy a flashy, red, sports car, telling him it's his for the day. He's going to go as fast as he can, run 30 people over, tear it up, and [I swear he said this, though we were all in a funny mood :P] blow it up, 'cause guys love fire and blowing things up.
Now let's say that the guy got the car...but had to pay $27,000 or however much for it. He's going to be all, "Don't touch my car, don't breathe on my car..." etc. etc.

Get it? Girls are like the car. His point was that when a girl is so easy to get, the guy isn't going to treat her like she's worth something, with care. But when she has to be sought after, persued, she's going to me so much more.

He also said that guys act all tuff to pretend they have it all together. Because what they're afraid of most is doing something stupid...especially in front of a bunch of other guys. And though you look like you have it all together, you're as clueless as girls.

Hehehe! *Loves possessing all this new knowledge about boys*

*has been touched by the knowledge fairy aka Gwen* I love this guys insight into what's really going on with the male gender. They've always been sort of an enigma that you think you understand, but then they do something totally off.
I also liked the analogy with a guy and his car. It's so true. Please guys don't go with any girl who practically throws herself at you. That should spell trouble right there.

By the way Gwen, I love your Luna avvie. :)

I shalt record this piece of AU history so that all who ever walk this forum will forever know the name of the girl who didst start the colour revolution. :P

You see, they are giving lectures to girls about guys. Why can't they have classes for guys about how to talk to girls without either scaring them or forcing to leave the country in shame?

Thou art grateful to thine maiden who shalt record this piece of history.

Aww..poor Frosty...I think girls get lessons on males because..they are more under threat from males than males are from females! Still, lessons on how to communicate would be a good idea.

*curtsies at JF* :P

I agree wholeheartedly. It seems that girls really need to know more about guys do to the fact that we seem to be the ones who get taken advantage of in relationships. However guys need some kind of advice too, and I think we need more of that.

I think I'll start a "How to talk to a girl and not die of shame" seminar. :teehee:
