It was a tie between Aragorn, Gandalf, and Legolas, but I chose Gandalf. He's wise, smart, caring, and can kick some serious orc-butt

i don't see how u can have ONE favorite character. there are characters i can relate to (like Pippin, i can be slow and funny, i guess) and thats y heez one of my favorites. but i love aragorn and legolas and merry and frodo and sam and boromir and gandalf and gimli......yeah....

Hehe... I can't help noticing that everybody who chose Legolas is extremly keen on pointing out that it's not because he's played by Orlando and not because he's good looking  You would almost think they're lying ...
I chose Aragorn. Because he looks like a real man, but still is sensitive. He looked hard when he told Legolas to get the others up after Moria and move on and not letting them wheep, but he was rigth there, because it would have been a bigger problem if they still had been there at nightfall.
Alse at the end of FotR, he chose not to quit with the Fellowhip, and go wherever he wanted to go now he couldn't help Frodo and Sam anymore. But instead of that he went to rescue Merry and Pippin. That's noble in my opinion.
And so there are many other examples why I picked Aragorn, this are just two of them.
But actually I like all of them: Frodo for his responsibility for the Ring, Sam for his loyalty, Merry and Pippin for the funny actions, Legolas for being a good archer and stuff, Gandalf just because he's Gandaf (no further explaination), Gimli because of his stubborness (not willing to be tossed ) and even Boromir, for he couldn't help it, it was the Ring and the circumstances and the really tried to save Merry and Pippin. But I have to say that I like him better in the book. _________________

I love all of them, but my fave is Legolas. He's the supportive friend, the helpful one and he is one fierce warrior.
