Raising his head and blinking almost owlishly, Aaron snapped out of his stupor. "Hey, mate." he said, then shook his head at the question. "She's doing all right, besides drowning in homework like the rest of us."

Restraining a laugh at his friend's evaluation, he ran his fingers through his hair and also looked towards the Gryffindor table, and noted the gathering of the Quidditch team. Sure enough, as he had guessed, Allison was right in the middle of them.

She dropped the affectation and said playfully, propping her chin on her elbow, "Who says they're going to take out our players?
