Well...let's think about this.
If I'm dying...
I would probably like to see family members and friends and not celebrities because family and friends would actually KNOW me and are guaranteed to be sad for me. What's the purpose of meeting a celebrity when you're dying? They'd just be bothered with a sick person that they have to meet instead of, I don't know, taking a trip up to the mountains.
Ah, well, my realistic side is dead now.
Personally, I'd want to meet Chrisopher Lee. He's a fascinating man, and is probably the only one of the cast to have interacted with Tolkien himself. I'm sure he as many stories to tell. And even for a dying person, to listen to those stories would be worthwhile.
