Hey, I'd love to join... I'm sorta working on getting better at swordplay... don't really have that much time to practice, and definately no money for lessons... That's cool that you taught yourself. Can you give me website names?

Oooh!!! Exciting!! I should definately look into it though....do you know how I go about doing that?
Did anyone watch the 2004 summer olympics? I ask because I was wondering if anyone caught the fencing? I caught bits and pieces, but because of the time zone differences, they were usually on at some ungodly hour of the night... So, I always got recaps from my fencing instructor...ha ha ha...the only thing I really did get to watch was the diving....MEN's diving... Ha ha ha...didn't mind that though... Anyways...BACK to fencing....

ROFLOL!
I got to watch most of it... it went really well I thought. Sada Jacobson was my hero for a while... I really admire her stylle and quick movements.
And as to your other question... you could always go to their homepage and find a club near you.

No, I don't belong ... I'm too busy to fence regularly, just on the fly
What's everyone's fave weapon? Foil, epee, sabre? I'm an epee fan myself

PS. FM, I love your Jim Elliott quote!

[Thanks, I love it to. And to me... it could have been about Frodo.]
Foil!! Foil is so easy and classy... it suits me well.
But by far, the most fun fencing I've ever done was theatrical fencing (which really wasn’t fencing at all!) Some friends of mine were putting on a Robin Hood production, and they were desperate for stunt-workers, so I signed up and got the position. Man, I’ve never worn so many different kinds of wigs in my life! Once I even had to have a beard! But the fencing (which is mostly what I did) was incredible. I did a lot of broad-sword like fighting, and it was quite different from what I’m used to. But I enjoyed it immensely.
