Edwin quietly stared in the shadows at the army that was laying still, but would move soon enough to attack. He gazed at the orb with few command words, the mist began to swirl showing few sights at what was happening. At first he saw the camp asleep, but then the image sifted into a battle that had blue dragons in it with solamic knights. Edwin was not quite sure was this the camp he had been in, but if it had then Ghyreian might be dead because he thought that she would not die when he would leave her there.

Edwin commanded the orb to stop and could only hope she would be fine, he cursed the bloody gods for doing this to him. Tricking him into such a foolish thing! It was always about the gods, they had to control everything and throw this at him now.

[kind of out of character for ghyreian to free meneldor]

Once she had put sufficient distance between herself and the demolished camp, Ghyreian paused to reflect. If she were Edwin, where would she go? It depended upon his intentions... egocentric gain or something else? By the Abyss, he could be anywhere!

Wayreth seemed the best choice, especially since Par-Salian had given them this inane task in the first place. Besides, the Head owed her a favor for what she'd done for his equally inane god.

Preparing the teleport spell consumed the better part of the night. By morning, she was ready exhausted but ready to cast.

As dawn came Edwin had his sleep and last breakfeast, he quietly sighed as he grabbed the dragonorb and placed it in his pocket. He cast a spell of invisibility before heading out, down a rocky mountain side so that he could take position when the army would move out. He was at first fearful of being noticed by the dragons yet a lonely mage with a spell covering him would go unnoticed as the dragons would be on a look for other dragons.

The soldiers looked like they were busy, sounding the alarm ton go after the other mage, so meneldor took his chance.
he diceded on teleport spell.
"Where will I go?" he asked himself. he decided on Palanthas to the Great library to ask... him on where that double crossing *beep* is.
He summond the Magic, and casted teleport.

"What can I do for you, my dear Ghyreian?" Par-Salian said quietly. He rose from his desk and stood before her, his hands folded in his white robes.

Ghyreian made an peremptory gesture. "With all due respect, lord, I brought to your god your precious dragonlances. You require me, with Edwin's help, to stop Ariakas's forces. Surely you owe me a favor."

Par-Salian wearily shook his head. "Where's Edwin?"

Ghyreian lifted her chin in scornful challenge.

"You lost him, did you not? Did you betray him, as you did last time?"

Silence.

"Ah. You feel wronged by him."

"Will you help me find him?"

"To do what?" Par-Salian retorted with uncharacteristic vehemence. "Kill him? Settle your personal vendetta?"

"That, my lord, depends on multiple factors," she hedged, coating her voice with more disdain. "You need us together to stop Ariakas. You have my word that I'll exact my vengeance only after we've finished your task."

"I know from emperical observation that your word is... shall we say... not one of great earnestness."

Ghyreian only raised a feathery eyebrow.

"Very well." Par-Salian nodded and sighed again. "Upon your word."

Meneldor teleported himself to the Great Library of Asthinus of Palanthas.
He climbed the sairs and knocked. The door was answered. "Yes? The lord Asthinus is not expecting visitors." he said.
"You nervous imbicile, Asthinus knows all!" Meneldor said, barging past him.
The asthetic rushed behind him, rubbing his head in a nervous gesture.

they reached Asthinus' room, and the asthetic said "I will......... Disturb my lord." and knocked softly and went inside. "My lord, there is a black robed mage here to see you, i told him-" but he cut off by Asthinus himself. "Enter, Meneldor." he said calmly, not looking up from his work.
the asthetic hurried off and shut the door softly.
Asthinus looked up and put down his quill, something he did not do often, unless of great import. "We have much to speak of, you and I." he said.

There it was, they began to awaken and in a matter of few hours or less they would kick the rest of the soldiers into move. Edwin stumbled across the rocky terrain and stopped right at the edge of it, timing was crucial in this matter and thus he waited behind a boulder. He listened to the sounds of the world that seemed so restless, the dragons screeching, shouting at the camp and his own heartbeats.

Half an hour later Par-Salian emerged from the scrying chamber. He nodded in response to Ghyreian tacit question. "Upon your word," he reminded her, an implied threat in his eyes. He bid her stand still as he cast the teleport that would take her to Edwin.

Ghyreian rematerialized to hear the sounds of an awakening camp. She stood upon a mountain overlooking the dragonarmies below. Her brow furrowed. Why would Edwin come here alone? To join Lord Ariakas? She looked around and spotted a familiar red-robed figure crouched behind a boulder, his back to her.

Lunitari's fading light shaded the dagger crimson as it fell into her hands. She crept up behind him and pressed the blade against his neck.

Edwin sighed deep as he felt the bade on his neck, he could not have been seen by enemy spies as he had been shown by the dragonorb where they were. Undoutably Ghyreian, Meneldor or some other mage had tracked him down.

"Whatever your intentions are just go away, this is none of your concern"

"Thank you Astinus." Meneldor said, bowing to him, for he now knew where Edwin was and what we was doing... In exchange for... valuable information, of course.

He walked outside, and transported right away to the edge of the Army's camp. And there he saw Ghyreian & Edwin. "Ah, so thou hast found him before me!" he said to Ghyreian.

"Idiots!"

Edwin cursed them both loudly, this could not be happening, not now. His plans would not be interrupted, he did regonize the voice of meneldor and now he suspected that it was ghyreian threatening him with the weapon.

"Can`t you both see that I have a purpose to fill? This had never anything to do with you and when I saved you from death you decide to come along for the ride. Go back and leave me for this shall end in my death not to mention yours should you follow...."

Ghyreian started, for this was definitely not the answer she'd been expecting. Then it hit her. Was Edwin being noble? Acknowleding Meneldor with a look of pure disdain, she firmed her grip on the dagger.

"Edwin, you have twenty-five seconds to explain yourself."

Edwin sighed deep and shook his head still not wanting this to come to pass, he had realised what the vision had bee all about, but Edwin never wanted two figures to be standing on that field.

"What do you think I was doing Ghyreian? You saw the same as I, but you never realised the point or the way it could come to pass. I am going to use the dragonorb powers, permanently and drain it`s powers to use it to destroy that army.

Am I free to go?"

Ghyreian still didn't understand. "Then why do it alone?" she demanded, puzzled.

"Because.... I don`t want any else to suffer and besides I have the least meaningful life thus it is I who should do it. You two have power and great futures ahead of you as long as you just leave this place!"

Edwin said with fustration as the army had began to pack their camp, the would begin to move soon.
